The witness and spouse were driving a motorhome south on Highway 37 when a single bipedal figure emerged from forest on one side, crossed two lanes in full view, and disappeared into forest on the other side. The figure was described as over 7 feet tall, covered head to foot in dark brown hair, walking almost completely erect with broad strides. Both occupants observed the crossing from about 50 yards away around 10 a.m. and could not stop due to lack of shoulder and truck traffic.

Initially thought to be a moose, it was seen in profile at closer range and identified by the witness as a Sasquatch. The witness was driving alone on the Trans Canada Highway in the early morning when a very large hair-covered man-like animal crossed the road ahead. The animal paused in the ditch and appeared to look for traffic before taking long strides across the highway and down the opposite ditch. The witness looked into the forest where it went but could not relocate it because it moved fast into dense trees.

The witness and companions had pulled to the side of a road to sleep in their car late at night. After hearing a slap or thump on the roof, the witness looked out and saw a tall, hair-covered biped running across the road toward the woods, lit by passing headlights. The group then left to sleep at a truck stop instead.

At first thinking it was a bear, he watched it step out and walk across the road in front of him before disappearing into brush. He described it as a large, muscular, hair-covered biped standing well over six feet tall that glanced at him as it crossed.

The witness was driving at night with two companions when a large creature crossed the road in front of the vehicle from left to right, visible in the headlights for about six to eight seconds. The driver stopped at the crossing spot but the creature was gone and was not seen again. The witness described a tall greyish figure with very long arms, a thick torso and an apelike forehead that briefly turned its upper body toward the vehicle while walking.

In 1965 a family of five was driving on the Alaska Highway in the early evening when an upright hairy figure crossed the road directly in front of their pickup near Mile 91. The occupants in both the cab and the camper watched it cross quickly. They later stopped at a cafe where the father made a joking remark about what they had seen. A lingering egg-like smell was also noted in connection with the crossing.
