The figure then crashed through the creek and willows up the hillside out of sight, after which the pair left hastily.

Late at night in summer 1977, the witness was driving a van with four companions back to camp when a tall bipedal figure crossed the road in front of them. Headlights illuminated its shape and eyes as it moved from a low area toward a mountain embankment. They heard sloshing in the water and later saw a large figure run across the road ahead of the headlights and heard heavy steps in sagebrush. Using a spotlight they glimpsed a tall dark primate-like figure cross in front of a large boulder and enter dense timber.

The witness was riding a horse on a wooded dirt road at dusk when the horse became agitated. After hearing rustling and a loud scream, the witness saw eyes and then a large upright creature that lunged out and seized the saddle. Face to face with the creature, the witness clung to the horse's neck as it bolted without looking back. The saddle was later described as torn with deep gouges.

The witness then shone a spotlight toward the sounds and saw an erect, dark brown-to-black biped move rapidly up a steep rock slide on two legs. The witness later felt the animal had no intent to harm them.

After noticing a strong odor and the dog fleeing, a large upright hair-covered creature rose from tall grass nearby, looked briefly, and crossed the trail silently into brush. The witness froze, then ran back the way they came while hearing branches breaking as the creature moved away.

The next morning large footprints were found in wet driveway dirt but were washed away by rain before they could be photographed.

While deer hunting from an old road overlooking a clearing, the witness heard loud crashing moving down through a cedar thicket over about ten minutes. A black, bipedal figure then stepped out and walked quickly across the clearing. The witness left without checking for tracks, and a companion later reported loose scat with grass and hair in the crossing area.

When the driver turned on the car headlights the figure covered its face and moved behind trees as the group fled in the car.

In early fall 1980 around 7 p.m., the witness was in the kitchen after feeding horses while his wife brought in laundry. Both heard screaming near the corral gate, the wife ran inside frightened and horses fled, and the witness glimpsed a very tall dark furry figure moving through a lit patch while it screamed and made clicking growling noises before he went back inside and locked doors.
