The witness went onto a raised side porch to dump breakfast scraps for dogs and noticed light fur under the porch. Hearing a scuffle, the witness turned and saw a tall fur-covered creature with long arms that looked back while moving around the side of the house. The witness dropped a pan and was unable to scream.

The witness and family were sitting around an outdoor fire at a relative's wooded mountain home around 10 p.m. on a damp night. While listening to recorded purported Bigfoot sounds, they felt watched and then heard saplings breaking upslope followed by a larger tree snapping and sliding toward them. Frightened, the group ran to the house porch.

The witness was deer hunting alone on a remote mountain ridge in the early morning around 1972-73. From about 400 yards away on another ridge, the witness watched a very large, very dark upright figure for several minutes. The figure was first mistaken for a bear but kept walking upright too long to be a bear, paused to manipulate a tree limb, then walked over the ridge and was not seen again.
Night sighting on Hwy 97, north of Liberty Hill
The witness was driving at night with a companion when an erect, hair-covered creature crossed the highway in front of the vehicle. The driver braked and alerted the companion, who saw only a brief glimpse as it entered dense woods. The driver searched the crossing point with a flashlight but found no tracks or other sign.

The witness and the witness's father were moving slowly upriver by boat when the witness spotted a hairy figure crouched on the bank. They made brief eye contact before the figure dove into the river with arms extended and disappeared. School bus drivers have two daylight sightings near Vanceburg.
The reporter states that in the late 1970s her father was driving a school bus early in the morning when a large hair-covered man- and ape-like creature came down a deer path. He braked and watched it run across the road and continue down the path on the other side for about a minute. An investigator later spoke with the father by phone and recorded additional descriptive details.

While deer hunting from an old road overlooking a clearing, the witness heard loud crashing moving down through a cedar thicket over about ten minutes. A black, bipedal figure then stepped out and walked quickly across the clearing. The witness left without checking for tracks, and a companion later reported loose scat with grass and hair in the crossing area.

Late at night the witness looked out a lit room window and saw a very tall copper-haired figure filling the window, with a hair-covered face and large round brown eyes. The witness stared into its eyes without fear at the time and felt it was a female that had lost its young. After dogs in a hollow below barked then fell suddenly silent, the group heard movement in brush and saw a tall fur-covered figure stand at the hill edge making huffing sounds. When the driver turned on the car headlights the figure covered its face and moved behind trees as the group fled in the car.

The witness was walking home through a graveyard at dusk when they noticed a large dark hairy creature among the tombstones. The creature paced, appeared to dig at a grave, made wailing sounds, and made shoulder-shrugging and hopping movements. When it noticed the witness it acted agitated and started toward them, causing the witness to leave.

The witness reports that during winter 1978-79 the household repeatedly heard loud howls and screams late at night around their rural home. Drain pipes around the home were knocked down and many large human-like footprints were found. The tracks were later destroyed by the witness's father, and the witness interprets the sounds and tracks as a Sasquatch passing through.

The witness was on a family drive with two relatives in Vinton County in the fall of 1986 or 1987 when a tall hair-covered biped ran across the road ahead of their vehicle while being chased by three to four dogs. The creature continued down a hill into pine forest while giving a very loud low-pitched howl that echoed. The occupants did not stop and drove on.

About 50 yards away, the witness saw a reddish-haired figure walking south toward a road, initially thinking it was a man before deciding it was not. The witness did not recall the lower half of the body, became frightened, and left quickly, only later associating the experience with Bigfoot.

They approached two distant figures first mistaken for acquaintances, then perceived as large hair-covered human-like beings that stood and left on two legs. After the beings looked toward them and disappeared into the woods, the pair heard loud branch-breaking as something ran off, then they left the area quickly.

He noticed a tall gray figure at the roadside that he first mistook for a decaying tree, then saw it turn and take a few steps into the treeline. He described it as about 7 feet tall with a very thick body and arms reaching near the knees, with lower legs hidden by tall grass.

The driver braked and started to reverse, but after the companion urged him to keep going, he drove on without further observation.

The witness was up late doing laundry at home when she glanced at an open window and saw the head, shoulders and upper back of a tall hairy figure walking past. The window was about six feet off the ground, leading to an initial height estimate of about seven feet, later revised to about eight feet after the window was measured. The figure reportedly bumped against the house as it passed.
