On a warm summer night in 1993, the witness rode with two companions in a truck from the lakeside cabin toward a property above. In the headlights about 100 metres away they saw a small dark hairy creature crouched on all fours in the road with long straight legs, no visible tail or protruding ears, and large bright shining eyes. After a moment of sudden fear the group drove up a driveway, discussed the sighting briefly, and returned minutes later to find nothing.
Children see a bigfoot while playing near home
On a hot summer afternoon several children were playing on a grandparent's farm when geese and dogs reacted to something near the pond path. The group then saw a tall, broad-shouldered creature standing silently in the shadows by the smoke house watching them. An adult called the children inside, and when they were later allowed outside the creature was gone.

On waking early in the morning, the witness watched a single large dark creature walk along the edge of the woods past them while maintaining eye contact. Around midday on the family's farm, the witness and an adult tenant saw a very tall brown ape-like creature cross an open field from the woods toward a barn a few hundred feet away. The creature walked hunched forward, turned to look the witness in the eyes for a few seconds, then ducked slightly to enter the barn. The tenant fled by car while a relative working on a door lock nearby did not see it.

The witness was driving on Route 95 through forested wilderness in early evening daylight. A large, dark, hairy creature crossed the southbound lanes from the treed median to the woods, moving swiftly, smoothly and fully erect. In fall 2000 the wife reportedly saw a large dark figure walk across a field about 300 yards from home and into woods bordering a lake. The brief 3-5 second view was described as taller than five feet based on fence posts, stocky with very large shoulders, dark brown to black hair, and walking on two legs, causing an initial bear impression to be dismissed. The account was submitted by her husband along with later family experiences in the same wooded swamp-lake area.

The witness and his son reportedly watched a dark animal from about three-tenths of a mile away in a flat river-bottom area. They observed it walk several hundred feet along the river bank before it went out of sight around a bend. The daylight sighting occurred in late spring during very dry conditions, and nearby railroad workers could not see the animal because a hedgerow blocked their view.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., the witness and two companions heard screaming and metal being torn near junked cars below an old railbed. A very large presence came up the steep bank and stood close enough for its breath to be felt, accompanied by a foul odor. When the group fled toward the road it chased them with audible footsteps before stopping at the brush, and a heavy station wagon nearby was later found overturned and torn apart.

On a snowy winter night around 1995, the witness was shoveling snow on the front porch when the dog rushed out then abruptly turned back inside as if frightened. The witness then noticed a pair of glowing eyes on a tall shape about 25 feet away toward the driveway. After staring briefly, the witness ran inside in fear and later told a relative about the experience.

The witness was standing across a creek from woods with a dog when they noticed a bipedal creature from the waist down about 100 feet away. The visible legs were described as stocky, straight, and covered in long golden reddish brown hair. The creature turned slowly, took a few steps, and disappeared into underbrush without making noise, unnoticed by the dog.

The witness was riding a pony bareback on a back road when the animal stopped at the top of a hill. About 400 feet ahead, a large reddish-brown hairy biped with very long arms was walking toward them on the road. The pony reared, turned, and bolted back downhill to a nearby yard. Later the witness returned with a relative, who found broken branches where the creature appeared to have left the road for the woods.

Before school the witness and his mother saw a large brown biped moving along a powerline toward woods behind their home. The witness ran toward the treeline and watched the creature pause and turn its upper body to look at him from about 50 yards, then stride away down a creekbed and disappear. Later that day he and his father found large heel impressions where it had leapt off a bank.

In fall 1986 the witness was sitting in a parked truck at night in Hell's Hollow talking with a companion. A large dark-brown biped estimated at 7 to 8 feet tall walked past within a few feet of the front of the truck and disappeared into thick brush. The witness drove away quickly and believed the companion had not seen the figure.
Night time sighting near a secluded forest home outside Wesleyville
One evening around dusk the witness sat locked out on the front porch of the parents' wooded house. A very large hair-covered biped approached to about 40-50 yards, paused and stared with glowing red eyes for about half a minute, then ran away rapidly breaking branches. The next morning large footprints were found in wet driveway dirt but were washed away by rain before they could be photographed.

Three people were sitting around a campfire late at night when they heard footsteps in the woods and a loud crash against a nearby mobile home. The reporter ran to wake a sleeping companion while the other two put out the fire. Those two companions reported seeing a large hairy man-like figure about 20 feet away, about 7-8 feet tall with red eyes, which then ran off hunched over.

Two companions hiking on the floor of a hollow came upon a brown hair-covered shape about 10 feet away near a deadfall. The shape stood to about seven and a half feet tall and ran away bipedally through brush toward a road while the witnesses fled uphill out of the woods. A return visit days later found a large matted clear spot but no footprints or hoofprints.

The witness and a companion were driving home late at night when an animal stepped over a roadside fence and crossed the road in front of them. The animal stopped in an open field and looked back while the witness stopped the car and both occupants watched it from about 150 feet away for an extended time. They noted its tall height, hair covering, and red eyes before the witness drove away.

Youth catches standing figure in flashlight glow during camp-out
Around May 1970 the witness was camping with family at a lakeside campground and lay awake in a tent near midnight. After hearing trash being disturbed, the witness stepped out barefoot with a flashlight and saw a small upright furry creature looking into a hanging trash bag. The creature turned, made a squeal-grunt cry, and dashed away while the witness ran shouting to wake relatives. No tracks were found afterward because the area was trampled.
