Close-range, 2-witness observation of a Sasquatch at 10pm outside off-grid cabin 35 crow miles due north of Coos Bay
A couple sitting in their off-grid cabin at night heard loud bangs on the cabin twice. The husband looked from a dark bedroom toward the lit generator shed and both saw a large reddish-brown hairy biped watching for about two minutes before it walked into the woods. The shaken couple fled with their dogs and guns, returning the next morning to estimate its height and find trampled vegetation.

On the morning of October 5 2009 the witness and a companion were driving toward a hunting area when two black upright figures about seven feet tall ran across the road and into dense brush. The witness drove closer and then got out to listen but heard nothing and the figures were gone. The party left the woods that night and returned days later with a relative to find odor, snapped small trees, a possible print, and scat.

A driver rounding an uphill hairpin turn noticed a tall hairy human-like figure standing behind trees on the hillside above the road. The figure turned and ran uphill through steep brush with remarkable speed and disappeared within seconds. At night while using a computer at home, the witness heard odd sounds and saw a bigfoot looking in through the back window. The witness greeted it, and it turned away and walked toward the field behind the house. The witness later found a large footprint with apparent dermal ridges on the bank behind the house and reported talk-like voices that could not be imitated.

During an overnight fishing trip the witness and his girlfriend were sleeping in a parked vehicle near a cabin when they noticed a tall hair-covered figure standing at the tree line and two smaller crouched figures near a truck. A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.

A very tall dark hairy biped stepped into a small clearing about 20 yards away, looked at the witness, then turned and left into the tree line. The family continued uphill without further sound or sighting and later reported the encounter to park staff.

While hunting, the witness saw an elk flee followed by a large dark-brownish animal running about 50 feet beyond it at roughly 300 feet distance, observed briefly through a rifle scope. The witness later found bent grass and a single partial footprint with three toes at the base of an old tree where the animal had run. Three nearby hunters said they saw nothing.

A couple camping on a remote Oregon beach at dusk watched a very large, dark, hair-covered biped walk back and forth on the sand several times, at times passing close by. The witness later found very large, deep footprints where it had walked and, when it approached again at night, shouted and then fled to camp. Both stayed through the night without further sightings and photographed the tracks at daybreak.

The witness was waiting for the morning bus in foggy, dim light when a large dark figure emerged from behind the approaching bus. The figure ran quickly across an open sagebrush valley toward ponderosa trees and the nearby forest, disappearing behind houses. The witness noted the speed and lack of any trail, and later found only faint ground marks.

About 11 years ago the witness was sorting shakes outside a cabin when a tied dog began growling toward the forest. The witness saw a large hairy bipedal figure moving from tree to tree, appearing to approach while staying behind cover. The witness called two children out to watch it, and the figure left when the witness's partner arrived.

The witness was part of a demolitions training convoy descending to a staging area when three hair-covered bipedal creatures were seen watching from the middle of a quarry. The middle individual was tallest and stood still while the two smaller flankers rocked side to side. The daytime sighting lasted about 25-30 seconds, shortly after a whoop-like sound was heard from beyond the work area.

Two people coasting downhill on a motor scooter stopped at a clearcut to look at the view on a clear afternoon. They saw a large brown biped rise from the grass about 100 yards away and walk along the treeline, glancing at them before stepping up a bank into the forest. After waiting about 15 minutes they inspected the area and found a matted grass circle and large footprints leading away.

Late at night a witness walking with a dog watched a tall silhouetted figure approach along a ridge. The dog ran ahead then retreated in distress, while the figure paused, crouched, approached closer, then sprinted to cover. Later from concealment it gave two loud screams, and next morning the witness found a line of large forefoot prints.

The witness and a companion found long drag marks and extensively damaged vegetation earlier in the day. About two hours later while hiking on the southeast side of a creek, they saw a large dark-brown fur-covered animal sitting on a stump watching them. The animal stood, made a gesture, and walked into the forest. As they descended toward the creek they heard noise and saw a bear with a cub feeding nearby, leaving the witness unsure what was seen.
Early evening sighting in Canyon City
At age six the witness was outside with a relative in late summer 1976 in Canyon City and watched a hair-covered figure standing on a hill across the road backlit by the setting sun for about a minute. The figure then turned and walked away out of sight. The witness ran inside to tell family, and parents later found large footprints on the hill.
