Daylight sighting by hunter 30 miles southeast of Louisville
The witness was sitting in a deer stand above a creek in heavily wooded bottomland waiting for deer. After smelling a musky odor and hearing leaves rustling behind the stand, the witness turned and saw a large dark-brown hairy biped across the creek about 60 yards away walking parallel to the water. The creature briefly turned its head toward the witness, continued swiftly with its arms swinging, and stayed in view for 10 to 15 seconds before moving away through trees.
Seasonal visitor to a rural farm south of Lexington
The witness states he was on his driveway at night with his dog when a doe walked past in the yard light and moonlight. Immediately behind the doe, a large hair-covered biped walked across an open gap of about 30 feet between cedar trees without making noise. He watched it in side view the whole way and later judged it to be about eight feet tall based on a tree it passed.
Nighttime sighting outside a residence north of Hayes Cemetery near Grayson
The witness was alone at home at night and stepped onto the porch after a relative reported screams nearby. After howling without response, the witness saw a tall hair-covered figure peek from behind a pine tree, make eye contact, then step out and leave in three large strides across the road. The witness later measured the standing height against the tree and photographed and measured a single footprint left in the yard.
BFRO Investigator videotapes encounter in Daniel Boone National Forest
An investigator hiked with two companions to the top of a rocky ridge at night to look into recurring activity. While the companions scanned with night vision and a camcorder, the investigator illuminated a sasquatch-like figure standing close below the rocks with a headlamp and watched it withdraw and walk away. The companions recorded eyeshine in the opposite direction, suggesting a second animal, and the group heard footsteps following them as they descended. They later reviewed the tape and confirmed eyeshine had been recorded.
Sighting of 8-foot tall, upright creature
The witness reports being at the top of a hill in a pine forest after dark while a companion was below. A very hairy creature about 8 feet tall walked in a nearly human manner while making grunting noises, noticed the witness, then left. The witness reports photographing footprints left in mud.
