Afterwards they noted disturbed rocks and a partial heel print that later dried out and was not photographed.

The witness was driving on a gravel mountain road in the early morning when he saw a small dark animal sitting in the road. A tall brown-haired female came from the woods, picked up the juvenile and carried it back into the trees. After the witness got out of his car a rock struck the car and a much larger dark individual appeared behind the car, vocalized loudly, then crossed the road into the woods. The witness drove a short distance ahead, stopped, heard movement in the woods and had more small rocks thrown toward him before leaving.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a relative driving home when they first noticed a large crouched figure by the roadside. After turning around and losing sight of it, they saw a tall, dark reddish-brown shaggy upright figure cross the road ahead of them in two steps. The figure moved quickly, did not look at the cars, and disappeared into roadside bushes, after which the witnesses left the area.

The witness and his wife were driving at night when their headlights caught a hair-covered humanlike figure standing on the left side of the road about 25-30 feet away. It faced them briefly, then ran bipedally a few steps and scrambled on all fours up an embankment behind it. When they looked back after passing, it was gone.

The witness reports standing in a front doorway changing a bulb when a popping sound was heard and cats ran toward them. About a minute later the witness saw a very tall, light-colored, muscular creature walking calmly in the ditch across the highway behind the mailbox. He fired in front of it to deter it; it stopped, stood, grunted, and a smaller one emerged crying before both left. He abandoned his gear and found it ransacked the next day.

After rounding a corner beside a lagoon, she noticed two figures in the water that she first mistook for fishermen. As she slowed and passed within about 40 feet, she described one as a tall, muscular, fur-covered figure walking toward shore while the second remained seated or stooped in the water, then she sped away frightened.

The witness was driving at night behind another car when both vehicles stopped for a tall, dark, manlike figure crossing the road in the headlights. The figure was described as 8-9 feet tall with very long arms and a strong musk odor that lingered after it left. It reportedly broke the top off a barbed-wire fence post, went over the fence, and disappeared into the woods. The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

Near dawn a very tall hair-covered female-like figure stood by the tent and walked rapidly toward the witness despite additional warning shots, then ran away over granite and out of sight. The witness remained in place until daylight and then hiked out.

Over about 20 minutes the figures foraged, interacted closely, and walked erect toward and past the observers before disappearing behind trees. Later the same day the witnesses returned to the spot and reported crushed grass, long stride impressions, and large and small bare footprints.

When the witness approached palmettos to check a noise, he saw eyes, heard a growl, and watched the creature stand to about nine feet tall. The group fled and returned hours later to find food and fish missing, poles scattered, and their shirts draped high in a live oak.
