Multiple encounters at a home near Haleyville
On November 2, 2013 around 4:45 p.m., the wife was closing the barn doors when she noticed movement downhill. She observed a tall hair-covered creature standing about 110 feet away facing her, which then turned and bounded down the steep slope out of sight. Strides in the leaf litter where it fled were later measured at 6 to 7 feet.
Exec on business trip has sighting from balcony of hotel near Huntsville
From a sixth-floor hotel balcony before dawn, the witness watched a tall hair-covered biped for five to six minutes at a distance. The being stared, rocked side to side, and repeatedly leaned to pull bark from a large pine tree. Afterward the witness fetched security and later returned in daylight to find fresh bark, deep ground indentations, and possible scat.
Tracks and feces found in freshly turned field
While preparing a field for planting, workers found large five-toed tracks and two very large cylindrical feces in a freshly plowed field. The tracks led from a grassy area onto a dirt road, into the field where the maker appeared to squat, dig up and eat turtle eggs, then continued into bordering woods. The reporter photographed the sign with a yardstick, made left and right foot casts, and collected fecal and eggshell samples for examination.
Nighttime sighting by two teens in southern Conecuh County
Two companions parked a motorcycle on a dirt road late at night and walked toward a nearby residence when they heard loud heavy footsteps and brush crashing approaching from a swampy area. They ran back to the motorcycle and fled as the sounds and heavy breathing closed in. As they drove away, one rider looked back and saw a very large, wide, dark hairy figure leap onto the road, land on all fours, then stand erect and grunt. The figure was silhouetted in bright moonlight, preventing detail of face or hands, and was estimated at about seven feet tall.
