Motorist sighting ~ midnight at bridge of 229 over New River, 22mi N of Gainesville
The driver was traveling home late at night with a companion when a very large dark bipedal figure ran across the road ahead of the vehicle. The figure crossed in only a few strides at high speed and disappeared into the treeline where bushes shook but no trail was visible. The companion did not see it, and the driver slowed but did not turn back to investigate.
4' - 5.5' upright animal seen crossing dead-end road
Two people were sitting on the tailgate of a parked truck on a vacant road at dusk when the reporting witness went to the cab for a phone and saw a small dark hairy biped about 15 yards away. The entity ran across the road from left to right in a few seconds, paused without looking, then entered the woods while making running noise heard by both people. The pair waited in the truck in fear for several minutes before driving away.
Squirrel Hunter has encounter south of El Dorado
The witness was hunting squirrels alone late in the afternoon along an old road near a swamp. After smelling a strong foul odor and hearing growls, hoot-like sounds, footsteps and brush movement, the witness continued toward a clearing. The witness then saw a tall reddish hairy creature cross the road behind them in one step and run into the brush, then ran to the truck and left.

The witness waited alone in a parked truck at night near the river to pick up relatives. A large hair-covered upright figure emerged from woods about 50 feet away, crossed the road and a field to the river treeline, pausing briefly to look around. The witness locked the doors and turned on the headlights, frightened by the encounter.
Archery hunter recalls daytime sighting on Mt. Emily
While driving to the summit with his wife, the witness noticed a dark figure sitting at the base of a tree that he first mistook for a hunter. The figure stood up, walked across the road behind their vehicle, paused about 30 seconds to look at them, then descended a steep hillside out of sight. The witness estimated it at about 8 feet tall by a nearby tree and described it as massive, dark brown and long-haired with wide shoulders and long arms.
