Two people driving over a mountain pass in daylight saw a large hairy biped running diagonally up a hillside toward forest cover. The figure was described as broad, at least seven feet tall, with dark brownish hair, moving fast on two legs with long strides and using an arm to pull on trees. After losing sight of it, they stopped at a creek crossing a mile or two away and felt watched for about an hour before leaving.

The witness was hiking a mountain trail with three children who had run ahead. He noticed a large upright hairy figure moving behind the treeline about 50 to 100 yards away, watching it for less than a minute as it moved through brush and woods. The figure paused briefly in front of a warning sign, looked toward the vehicle, then went over the opposite embankment out of view. The witness slowed briefly then left in fear and later returned in daylight to find large indentations descending the embankment.

Near dusk after dinner, a relative ran back frightened and the family gathered at the doorway to look toward the well. The witness saw a grayish-brown hairy figure kneeling at the well as if drinking or washing, which then looked over its shoulder revealing manlike features, frightening the witness who ran inside to hide.
