Former Deputy Sheriff describes morning sighting on Cornwall Mountain
The witness stopped while riding an ATV on a logging road in the early morning and heard two loud howls. Shortly after the second howl he saw a large dark shaggy human-like figure downslope with its hands around an aspen tree, leaning out and staring at him. After several minutes of remaining motionless the figure turned and walked away downhill, and the witness left the area.
Report of a field investigation over several days
Three researchers camped in a remote timbered drainage in early August 1998 to study suspected sasquatch activity. Over two afternoons they heard loud primate-like calls and screams around camp, and during two nights they heard conversational vocalizations, rhythmic rock-clicking, and stealthy footfalls that alarmed horses. They also detected red eyeshine and later found a fresh animal bed overlooking the camp. They left early, concluding no conclusive evidence was obtained but the area warranted further investigation.

From an overlook the witness watched three hikers with a dog on the trail below through binoculars and noticed a large black bipedal figure moving ahead of them through the adjacent meadow. The figure moved much faster than the hikers, away from them, jumped the creek, and disappeared into trees on the far side of the valley after about five minutes. The witness judged it much larger than a man and stated it was not a bear, and believed the hikers never saw it.

In early June 1994 the witness was fishing with two young companions at a beaver pond when an extremely loud gravelly two-toned scream was heard three times from a forested slope about 150 to 200 yards away. The witness judged the sound was not an elk or bear and left the area because the group was unarmed. The next morning the witness returned alone and found a line of very old large tracks but no definitive sign of the source.
