Kayaker experiences frightening incidents while traveling down Yellow River
While kayaking a long stretch of river in northwest Florida near dusk, the witness heard moaning to yelling sounds and smelled a strong musky odor. Rocks were thrown from the treeline toward the water and near the kayak, while sticks and trees were heard breaking. The witness also heard coyotes and loud unidentified sounds suggesting animals fighting, felt followed for much of the trip, and never saw the source.
Family reports numerous incidents since 2000
The witness reports repeated encounters over years on a rural property bordering woods and swamp, including sightings, vocalizations, odors, and footprints. The witness believes a family of creatures lives nearby, currently including a mother with young, and describes them as shy and non-threatening. The witness withholds the location and seeks help to protect the animals from harm.
Scary encounters outside a rural home near Jackson
The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.
Young Man finds footprints in snow
As a boy walking in snow on a relative's farm, the witness claims to have found adult-sized human-like footprints with four toes on each foot in an open field near a road. No photos were taken and similar tracks were noted the following year. The witness also describes hearing an unidentified scream years later and now wonders whether the two incidents could be related.

The witness and two companions hiked a horse trail along a river at night. They heard repeated loud branch breaks that seemed to follow them as they tried to leave. At the base of a bluff area they heard an extremely loud scream that echoed down the river, then ran to a nearby house where they heard the scream again from the woods.

The witness was deer hunting in the morning and waiting against a tree when a nearby deer spooked. He then heard heavy breathing and saw a tall hair-covered upright creature standing a few feet behind him. He fled leaving his gun, then returned with two companions to find large three-toed tracks leading to a creek.

Family members found a line of large human-like footprints in sand that started at a lake, went up a steep sand bank, and continued toward a thick swamp. The prints were described as about 16 inches long with a very long stride of about eight feet. The discovery was reported in summer 1991 after a relative noticed the tracks by the lake.

During a group expedition the witness heard two heavy wide-stride bipedal footfalls the first night and found two large heel-only impressions the next morning. The next night there was a massive tree knock with a reply about a hundred yards away. On a night hike the witness was hit with overwhelming fear and had to use breathing to avoid running.

The guest's hunter uncle joined family members to look for the creature near the pond after dark. A figure stood up very close with its arms raised and the uncle fired a carbine, believing he hit it under the arms. The creature made a loud noise and fled, leaving fatty bloody material but no blood trail, only footprints and broken vegetation.

While poking around way off trail by a creek, the group found an unusual track attributed to a dogman. The finder almost stepped on it and had the tracker examine it, who reacted with dismay. The tellers said it was jarring and unlike a sasquatch track.

The day after the camp vocals, the group went to the back side of the camping area and found a large five-toed track with a V-shaped heel. It was estimated at about 16 inches, larger than a boot. Rain prevented casting.

Sitting at camp after dark, the group heard a series of loud howl-scream-growl vocals that started hundreds of yards away and came much closer in paced intervals. The tellers said it sounded like a werewolf from a movie and unlike coyote or wolf behavior. A track was later found and cast about 100 yards from camp.

Over about two and a half years the guest visited a stump in woods near South Hill and left apples, sandwiches and objects. She found a decapitated bird placed on the trail, a rock on the stump, balanced rock stacks, and a small fence-like stick structure. She interpreted them as possible gifts in return.

The guest's family walked onto virgin county land across from their home to plan trails. They found dozens of sets of prints of different sizes that dwarfed a child's hand. A foul urinary skunk-like odor hung in the air and the group felt uncomfortable.

The guest walked off trail with a group to an area thought to hold a family and found Bigfoot-like prints including small ones that ended abruptly. The prints did not match black bear tracks. Casts were made but a controlled burn was done before they could be retrieved.

Coming home near dawn, the witness glimpsed a figure running through the yard toward the barn and found footprints. The trackway went around the barn, through the backyard, over a hot tub, around the house and over a propane tank where it disappeared.

At the current wooded home, the witness hears a cork-popping sound and later a wailing sound followed by branches scraping the barn. The dog fled back to the deck. In daylight large tracks about 18 inches were found leading from the road by the mailbox around the property to the barn.

In snow in the canyon the witness and friend found a giant canine-like pad print as large as a hand following buck deer tracks into brush. In the same area they found a large human-like footprint twice as long and wide as the witness's foot.

Around 6 a.m. the witness heard a huge crash, snap and thumping sounds near his apple orchard. He left and later searched the area, finding a wide boxy footprint with toe prints and additional prints. His wife later found four apple-smelling scat piles in a row.

Sitting on his deck near dusk, the witness heard a seriously guttural sound followed by a huge limb crashing and tearing apart. He then heard indistinct talking that he could not understand. He went inside rather than confront it.
