Two bow hunters found large human-like footprints with toe impressions at the muddy edge of a stock pond in the early morning. They followed faint sign a short distance, covered the clearest prints to protect them, and later returned to make plaster casts and photograph stride. The prints were measured at 18 inches long, and hair was collected from vegetation in a nearby ravine.

The witness arrived before dawn to bowhunt from a tree stand overlooking a creek. After sunrise the surrounding wildlife fell silent, several rocks were thrown toward the stand from behind, followed by loud footsteps, branch breaking, heavy breathing and a musky odor approaching to within a few yards behind the witness. After remaining behind the witness for several minutes and emitting a snarling growl, the unseen presence retreated uphill, after which wildlife sounds resumed and the witness left the area.
Man recalls daytime sighting in a canyon outside Nevada City
Two companions were pushing their bicycles up a steep old mining road when they heard crashing from across a canyon. They watched a tall dark-haired biped run down the opposite slope toward them, snapping small trees in its path. Frightened, they fled uphill on their bikes until they neared the top and lost sight and sound of it.

As a nine-year-old, the witness took a wrong turn while walking through woods toward an orchard and felt watched for an extended time. The witness heard a branch snap and saw underbrush moving without seeing the source, then later found a large footprint near a caution-tape marker. The witness came to believe years later that a sasquatch had followed and protected them until they recrossed the fence to their property.

Late at night the witness's family was at home when a dog outside sounded distressed. A relative went out, saw a large shadow by the shed, retrieved a firearm, then saw something flee down the driveway and fired, after which a loud growl-howl was heard followed by silence. The next morning the family found unfamiliar footprints and believed the visitor had leapt across a nearby canal.
Park Rangers and residents of Glendale Springs observe large footprints in deep snow
The witness claimed large foot-shaped tracks were found in deep snow around their home in Glendale Springs. The tracks were described as 12 to 16 inches long and spaced 5 to 6 feet apart, extending over a mile or more and appearing to cross a split-rail fence in one stride. More than ten residents and park rangers reportedly saw the tracks and photos were taken, while rangers suggested rabbits or small animals as an explanation.

The witness was reading late at home while dogs barked outside in the rain. A large hairy figure passed the back door making whistling and other sounds, and the porch light went out. The witness opened the door to a strong odor and saw the figure standing about 30 feet away before it left toward the woods amid crashing sounds and a distant answering whistle.

The witness was concealed while deer hunting at the water's edge when he noticed movement to the side. He watched a large hair-covered biped rise from a crouch in shallow water, look side to side, then walk out of the water into the woods and disappear over about two minutes from about 50 yards away. On the return to the truck he found a single very large footprint in loose soil.

The guest says he and his wife obtained good track casts in Strathcona Provincial Park in 1987. He describes them as really good casts and later compares them to another set found 55 miles away.
Footsteps in Washington (1987)
In 1987 the witness was deer hunting and camping in eastern Washington. After the group left him alone at a logging road camp, he heard bipedal footsteps approach his tent at night, felt something strike the tent, then heard movement near his car and a log being torn apart in a gully before fleeing by vehicle to the highway. A night or two later he returned with a hunting companion and both heard multiple chattering, tonal and clicking vocalizations from different directions surrounding the camp.
Loud vocalizations repeatedly disturb family
The witness, then a child, was sleeping in the family's A-frame when very loud, high-pitched screams from behind the house woke the household. The father fired a handgun from a loft window and later used a spotlight, hearing something move away upslope but never seeing the source. Similar late-night screams recurred several times over the following week, and daytime searches found broken small trees and a rotten-egg smell but no tracks or other samples. The family moved away within a month.
Man remembers his daytime sighting as a youth living south of Hennepin
The witness was riding a BMX bike on a snow-covered road in the afternoon when they saw a tall, long-haired figure crossing the road about 50 yards ahead. The figure was described as about eight feet tall with light brown hair. The witness ran inside for a camera but could not find one, and the next day found footprints with a relative.

The witness was home alone in the evening when the dogs became agitated and ran toward the pasture and river. The witness followed carrying a shotgun and observed a hairy humanlike figure near where the dogs stopped at the river edge. After a shot was fired into the air the figure departed with a distinctive walk and the witness returned quickly to the house. Large footprints were noted in the snow between the pasture and the river.

The witness was archery hunting from a ground blind near a hog wallow when he heard close grunting and breathing that he could not see. After the sounds stopped he inspected the area and found very large scat and large deep tracks leading to and away from the scat. He first assumed hogs and then a very large bear made the sign, but later judged the scat too large for a Florida black bear.

Three people in two pickups crested a hill at dawn and noticed a fresh set of large tracks looping across an open hillside in new snow. A relative glassed the area with binoculars, became visibly upset, and said he thought he had seen bigfoot. The group did not approach the tracks or the area and avoided it altogether. The account was relayed secondhand by a close friend of one of the men.

The witness, traveling with four companions for target practice, left the truck and saw a tall upright figure standing on a stump overlooking the bay. The figure turned to look at the witness, stared, then turned away, turned again after the witness shouted, and walked quickly into dense forest. The companions did not see the figure but all later found prints, heard crashing branches, and noticed a faint unusual odor.

While fishing from a jon boat, the witness and companion heard something crashing through the woods and saw a tall, reddish-brown hair-covered creature watching them from behind bushes. They paddled to their campsite across the river while the creature paced the opposite bank, with footsteps and breaking limbs heard. After an overnight splash and sounds of it leaving, they found hand and finger marks where it had climbed the muddy bank.

A homeowner had shot a deer and hung it in a tree behind the house. That night while going to let dogs out, he heard an unfamiliar scream and saw a large ape-like creature in the yard. The creature seized the deer and fled into the forest, tearing out a stretch of barbed-wire fence and leaving hair and tracks. A friend visiting the next day was shown where it stood and ran, including the tracks and hair.

The witness reported finding two side-by-side sets of large tracks on a sand beach in the morning. The larger tracks measured about 18 inches long and the smaller about 13 inches long. The witness followed the trackways for about two miles until they entered a forested area.
