Three teenagers camping in a field behind a house smelled urine and heard something rushing through nearby woods. They fled toward the house as a tall hairy creature pursued them and later stood over their campfire throwing logs aside. The creature then circled the house and stepped onto the porch during the night before leaving by daylight, with broken branches found the next morning.

On a November 1976 afternoon two young men hunting squirrels walked toward a river when a large hairy biped came up from the river bottom toward them. It stopped about 30 feet away, looked at them, snapped a small dead tree and vocalized. The pair retreated over a ridge and ran, later discussing whether it had been a person in costume.

The witness was backpacking alone on a steep, snow-covered trail when they found large bare human-like footprints heading the same direction for about a mile and a half. The witness initially dismissed them as a possible hoax and chose not to photograph them. Overnight rain melted the snow, and the footprints were gone by the descent the next day.

While on the property at dusk, a group member saw the upper torso and muscular shoulder of a dark figure with some grayish-white move downward and disappear into a thick valley. A year before Minnesota the guide and a companion got lost looking for a waterfall and at twilight saw a very large upright figure stomping in a creek below the trail. They ran to camp and heard popping branch breaks all around through the night and slept in the vehicle. In the morning the bear hang had been untied and lowered and only fresh produce was missing.

After moving in, the couple heard whistles, whoops, footsteps and had pebbles thrown, with trail cameras failing. On a cold night about a year ago they sat quietly with lights off, heard a group approach talking, then lit them with flashlights. They describe one tall figure by a deck, one smaller figure lying prone that blinked, others peeking from trees, and others slapping buildings as a distraction before all left down a ridge.

He found a cleaned small animal skull in the middle of the trail with unusual scat containing flowers. He reports ongoing strange night noises that residents leave alone.
