Men exploring logging roads hear possible knocks and a branch break near Cinebar
Two people exploring logging roads by jeep stopped to scout a side road on foot. They heard knocking sounds like a stick hitting a tree, then a very loud prolonged cracking like a thick log breaking nearby. They left without seeing any people or vehicles that could explain the noises. A photo taken toward the sounds was later thought to contain something odd but was deemed inconclusive.

On the ninth night of solo primitive camping, the witness was lying awake in a tent when a very loud thud sounded in front of the tent. Movement was then heard in palmettos beside the tent, followed by human-like whistles exchanged from opposite sides and a guttural growl from behind the tent. The witness stayed inside without looking out and found a snapped limb nearby the next morning before leaving camp early.

The witness was photographing along the tree line on the south side of the lake when she heard a close grunting-snorting sound followed by a deep growl without seeing the source. Shaken, she returned toward two fishermen and then left across the dam, photographing a large print in the mud. From the car area she heard the same loud vocalization coming from across the lake where she had been and saw the fishermen hurrying across the dam, after which all parties left.

The witness reported ongoing activity near a forested home beginning in early spring 2013. During an initial walk in pines, he heard an extremely loud knock that frightened him and later heard whistles from the woods. He also reported finding multiple large and small track sets. An investigator filed the account on his behalf and continued working with him.

In April 2013 the guest took his teenage son camping at a just-opened campground off Highway 14 along the Columbia River. During a daytime walk they found an old large track, opened clam shells out of place, a fresh vine-maple twist tucked behind a fir, an 18-inch footprint beneath it, and several pushed or tossed trees. That night in camp they heard branch-breaking, felt the tarps pulled, heard splashing, felt vibration waves, and heard two wood knocks before leaving exhausted in the morning.

The witness was walking a puppy along a bikeway when the dog began barking. Ahead, the witness saw a very large dark hairy biped walking along the path shoulder for several seconds before it crossed the path and descended into a wooded gully. The witness left and returned about an hour later with another dog and found and photographed a large footprint where the creature had walked.
Homeowner finds possible footprints near Beach Park
The witness was in the process of buying a vacant house and found a line of large barefoot-like impressions in snow and mud along the side of the garage toward the backyard. The prints showed toes, deep toe depression and a short stride close to the building, and were photographed with the witness's shoe for scale. The witness reported seeing only incoming tracks and requested review of the photos, noting doubt about a hoax due to the secluded location.

The trackway was reported to run about a half mile from across a lake, ashore around a cabin and through woods to a road where it disappeared. After topping a ridge and shutting off the vehicle, the witness saw a tall hairy biped about 30 feet away running away and knocking over a small tree. While deer hunting, the witness walked through a field and found odd tracks in deep snow. He knelt for a closer look and noted they had human-like toes. He photographed the tracks, which headed north across his property and were estimated to be at least thirteen inches long.

A tree-trimming crew reported finding a line of large human-like footprints in snow where their truck got stuck on an icy back road. The prints reportedly came out of the woods onto the road and continued about 160 feet with a long even stride. The witnesses photographed the prints, which had been plowed away by the time an investigator later visited the site.

Two men scouting for coyote hunting crossed a field and found several dozen large tracks in snow with a very long stride. They photographed the tracks with a boot alongside for scale and noted toe outlines. They became frightened and left the area shortly afterward.

Two hunters sat in a blind when the woods went quiet and they heard crashing, bipedal footsteps, a loud crash and a deep howl. After waiting until dark, they left and walked toward their boat. When one turned around he saw eye shine several feet off the ground behind them, which then turned away.

Three people riding horses in snow noticed large bare-foot tracks with toes alongside many animal tracks. The main trackway came up from a gulch, followed the road, then returned downhill, with smaller tracks joining from a steep draw. They examined the prints up close and photographed them, noting three sizes with the largest about 17 inches long.

The guest's husband and daughter found very large footprints in snow around the lake on Christmas Eve 2012, and the guest then viewed them herself. The prints were described as at least 17 to 18 inches long with wide strides, and photos were taken on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Day she followed two differently sized pairs that appeared to follow deer tracks and go straight up a snowy hill with ease.

The witness was in bed around 2 a.m. when a powerful stench prompted a look out the bedroom window. A partially cut tree about 100 feet away began to topple, and a camera flash revealed a large brown hunched figure about ten feet from the house, possibly with a second figure near the woodline. The figures left into the woods, and the next day the witness found the tree down with the saw bar displaced and many tracks and cracked walnuts nearby.

The witness was alone at home at night and stepped onto the porch after a relative reported screams nearby. After howling without response, the witness saw a tall hair-covered figure peek from behind a pine tree, make eye contact, then step out and leave in three large strides across the road. The witness later measured the standing height against the tree and photographed and measured a single footprint left in the yard.

While elk hunting alone on a remote snow-covered mountain slope in the morning, the witness found a line of large barefoot bipedal tracks heading uphill. The prints were substantially larger than the witness's boot and spaced about five feet apart, forcing a leap to step between them. The witness photographed one print with a boot for scale, judged the tracks to be several days old, and believed they were not made by snowshoes, bears, or another hunter due to their shape and the area's remoteness.

The witness stopped by a roadside woodlot after noticing a freshly broken young tree and large depressions in leaf litter described as human-shaped footprints. After examining the break and prints, the witness knocked rocks together and reported hearing a distant knock in response, with further knocks and whoops getting no reply.
