Country boys have frightening nightime encounter 50 miles south of Louisville
The witness and two companions stopped on a rural back road at night and heard a distant knock, then sounds of wood breaking after the witness whistled. After driving on to turn around and stopping again, the witness shone a light into the woods and saw a tall dark hairy figure with eyeshine watching them. The encounter lasted only a few seconds before the group drove away in fear.
Hikers near the Pacific Crest Trail observe three sasquatches 24 miles north of Mt. Rainier at Government Meadows
A couple hiking to a cabin at Government Meadows surprised three large hairy bipeds behind the cabin. The subjects moved quickly from right to left, with a smaller adult carrying a juvenile on its back, then disappeared behind terrain. The witnesses approached the area, found a large print, and recorded video of their reaction afterward.
Structure or nest near Hot Springs, North Carolina (2022)
The witness parked by a gated abandoned road and walked about a mile, then left the road to inspect tire marks. He found teepee-like stick structures, snapped saplings he could not break, and downed trees funneling movement into a wash. Birds went silent, loud tongue-clicking surrounded him with an answering whistle, and objects sounding like rocks were thrown as he left. From a field with a large quartz rock he saw a dark shape in a distant tree.
Sasquatch sighting in Ohio (2021)
The couple returned to the same road to measure the 2003 crossing and hike all day. They smelled strong urine and rotten-meat odors, found odd stacked limbs and other tree breaks, and watched a large limb fly over a cliff into the creek. Through binoculars the witness saw a black-furred being from waist up behind a tree staring back until it blinked, hid, reappeared, and later vanished by bending down. The husband saw an arm, they heard knocks, a whoop and running, and later found a large bare footprint in a creek bank and an impression behind a tree.
Partial sighting in Kentucky (2020)
The teenage son was watching police lights from a car in the driveway late at night and turned to see a human-like shape peeking over a hedge by a fence. He brought his mother out with a weak flashlight and both saw the shape looking at them in moonlight. The next day they found all grass smashed where it stood and a path leading up into the woods with no trail toward the house or road.
Tracks in Virginia (2020)
The witness was cleaning and preparing an auction site in the mountains when large barefoot tracks were found that dwarfed the witness's own foot. A few days later around midday a massive dark bipedal figure was seen leaning from behind a tree, was photographed, then left with heavy steps and a foul smell as the phone camera failed. That evening and the next night loud echoing vocalizations and loud bird-like whistles were heard while deer disappeared and the woods went silent.
Deer hunter sees tree shaking, then see the large shaker, outside Wilkesboro
The witness was deer hunting from a stand on wooded acreage in daylight when a tree was seen shaking violently. Looking through a scope, the witness saw a large black-haired creature with a cone-shaped head standing back in the woods swaying side to side for several seconds and noticed a wet-dog-like smell. The witness also reported a teepee-like stick structure and pictures of footprints.
Dogman sighting in Michigan (2019)
The witness, a wildlife biologist, was deer hunting at dawn on his forested property when a jet-black canid-like animal stalked toward him. He fired a .45 at its head with no apparent effect, then yelled, after which it rose bipedally to about seven feet with a broad chest and long thin arms. He fired twice more into its chest, it sank back to all fours and retreated, leaving only uncastable imprints and no blood or bullets found later.
Sasquatch sighting in Washington (2019)
The same group returned a week later with daylight fading. They saw a basketball-sized bluish-white orb moving through trees, then on a moonlit road walk one witness saw a gray upright figure dart across the road in one or two steps. Back at the vehicle they found another greasy handprint, played vocalizations that were mimicked from very close behind them, and later heard faint distant whoops.
Growl near Twin Falls, Idaho (2018)
The witness and a friend hiked into a canyon near the home in daylight and stayed until after dark. They heard a loud growl, saw a shredded tree, then saw a giant black bipedal mass cross the trail and heard it parallel them under tree canopy as they left.
Possible roadside sighting in the daytime in Myakka City
The witness was driving east with a companion on a private dirt road in daylight when she noticed a dark, shaggy shape behind a fence near Long Creek. She described it as crouched or standing motionless, with a pointed head and broad shoulders, about three feet taller than the fence, and believed it was trying to remain unseen. The companion did not see it, and when they turned around and returned the shape was gone, but they found what they thought were two footprints nearby.
Wood knock in California (2018)
The witness and friends camped at a small creekside site off a mountain road in late June 2018. After evening knocking sounds and a strong musky odor at night, a large human-like creature with yellow eyes appeared at the witness's tent, grabbed it, lifted and dropped the witness inside, then left in a few steps after a shot was fired. The group saw large footprints, later heard whoops from multiple directions, and had a basketball-sized rock thrown at their truck while leaving.
Broken trees and possible print found after swaying animal evades hunters near Grovespring
Two companions scouting a conservation area spotted a large dark bipedal figure about 150 to 200 yards away on a trail. The figure crouched, swayed, then moved quickly to the right and disappeared. The men went to the spot and found a very large fresh footprint and freshly broken small trees.
Ongoing activity including a late night sighting at a home east of Vestaburg
Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.
Hiker has daytime sighting in Colville National Forest
The witness was hiking with a group through a field when he hid by a lone tree after hearing movement and saw a tall dark shaggy figure partly concealed at the wood line about 25 to 30 yards away for about thirty seconds. He became nervous and ran to his companions as loud noise occurred and a tree was reported to fall. Three companions heard the noises but only the witness reports a visual.
Partial sighting in Pennsylvania (2017)
Hiking alone on Toad Road, the investigator glimpsed a large fast gray-black form and followed it without thinking. The trail was muddy and overgrown. Further on he found a clean deer skull impaled at eye level in the middle of the trail where nothing had been weeks before.
Tree break in New York (2017)
The witness and a companion spent three days fishing and camping at a remote lake. On calm nights trees fell near camp, and each dawn they heard rhythmic wood-on-wood pounding for nearly an hour. They saw a dark partial figure behind a lakeshore pine, heard a long piercing scream with fast hillside movement, heard distant talk-like sounds and short screams, and found a single large human-like footprint in mud on the way out. They also saw an orange light over the lake that split into smaller lights, followed later by jets overhead.
Multiple incidents near rural home outside Adel
The witness sat alone on the back patio at night facing the woods and spoke aloud. Three figures approached from different directions with audible walking and breaking limbs. The witness shone a flashlight on the closest one, seeing a large squatting outline with widely spaced bright green eyeshine, then went inside and still heard movement an hour later.
Tracks in Texas (2016)
The witness joined a multi-day guided expedition in dense woods. The group found distinct five-toed tracks, heard an owl-call answered oddly, heard a warning-like howl and later chatter, and saw saplings broken at angles. While forward of the group at night the witness used thermal to see a large heat mass between trees that vanished, and shortly after others in the same vicinity were growled at.
Tree break in Georgia (2016)
Over a period the witness noted bamboo broken over, fruit trees stripped bare overnight, owl-like hoots and a loud tree break across the road. She once saw an unidentified animal at distance. She later linked the pattern to Sasquatch behavior after research.
