Mother and son experience multiple incidents in the Sautee-Nacoochee Valley
On a cool afternoon in February 2007, the witness and a companion hiked in the woods to look for clues about strange activity. They reported finding large human-like footprints, possible bedding areas, territorial tree markings, and a freshly fallen oak with bark that looked chewed and wet. While leaving the woods they reported being followed by something unseen that produced howls and other vocals, stick-beating sounds, continuing footsteps, and moving vegetation.

Six soldiers on a night recon patrol through swamp heard an unseen presence following and circling them closely for 10-15 minutes, weaving between them even after they split into two groups. Later two soldiers in ambush position heard a loud scream-roar twice, followed by the sound of a large rotten tree falling and brush breaking. The sounds then stopped and the presence was heard leaving.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.

During summer 1965 the witness was exploring woods near military housing when he found very large barefoot prints in red clay leading into the trees. While on a trail he heard heavy bipedal footsteps that appeared to follow him, stopping when he stopped and rushing toward him, causing him to flee to the housing area. He returned with a friend and both heard the same following footsteps rush toward them before fleeing, with the friend reporting an indistinct large movement in the brush.

As a teen the witness camped with a companion on the property, awoke on an October full moon to thumping, saw a tall dark figure handling something large uphill that approached the tent with foul odor, with deer remains found next morning.

About three weeks later the witness again found the figure closer, it huffed and charged on two feet, he fired a gun to scare it and it ran toward the creek.
Scary encounters outside a rural home near Jackson
The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.
