The witness was cooking outdoors midday with a relative and the property owner when a large hairy figure was seen standing by a tree in a field 300 to 400 yards away watching them. The witness took a cell phone photo, and about 40 seconds later the figure was gone without being seen leaving. The witness and the relative then walked to the spot, found tracks, and estimated the figure's height at 8 feet from tree marks and the photo.

While doing so he heard loud roar-like screams and howls from two unseen sources to his left and right that seemed to converge toward his position. The witness was supervising a crew clearing brush under a highway bridge in the morning. The group noticed a strange odor, heard persistent movement and muffled grunts, and watched something peeping from behind a tree. Later a skinned rabbit hung high in a tree disappeared, bare footprints larger than the workers feet were found in mud by a creek, and loud limb-breaking sounds caused the whole crew to flee.

While trying to sleep the witness heard movement in the treeline followed by a grunt and a loud unfamiliar scream estimated 50 to 100 yards away. Six soldiers on a night recon patrol through swamp heard an unseen presence following and circling them closely for 10-15 minutes, weaving between them even after they split into two groups. Later two soldiers in ambush position heard a loud scream-roar twice, followed by the sound of a large rotten tree falling and brush breaking. The sounds then stopped and the presence was heard leaving.

For six to eight months an elderly farmer and his wife reported nightly tapping that followed them room to room, shadows outside windows, a barn door torn open, missing dog food and missing outdoor dogs, and a low voice whispering the indoor dog's name. The responding deputy initially suspected neighbors, moonshiners or a grow operation, but later found a large hand-like dent in the house and an 18-inch footprint in the creek that he cast. On signal they shined high-beam lights and saw a tall dark brown hairy figure step across the trail in one stride and run up a wooded hill breaking limbs. They gathered the dogs and left without approaching.

While fishing from a jon boat, the witness and companion heard something crashing through the woods and saw a tall, reddish-brown hair-covered creature watching them from behind bushes. In the early afternoon the witness was about to enter brush ringing a stream inlet when a very tall, hair-covered human-like figure came within about 20 feet at a slow walk. The witness described its size, hair, facial features and muscular build, noting it was defensive but not threatening and made no sound. The witness withdrew to a truck without being followed, and also noted a very large track, sand mounds, possible vomit and scat, and bark damage in the same area.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.
