In midsummer 1991 the caller and a companion found trees snapped ninety degrees over at about eight feet high roughly every hundred yards along a small ridge under closed canopy. He presents them as Sasquatch tree breaks.

The witness returned to his family's remote cabin to find belongings disturbed and sensed a presence in a front bedroom. After retrieving his shotgun he heard the screen door slam and searched outside without seeing anyone. He then walked to the lake to call to relatives fishing offshore, and on returning spotted a hairy biped rushing from behind a tree and diving into the water. He waited several minutes but it never surfaced, then found a fresh bare footprint with clear toe detail at the water's edge.

While hunting moose by ATV the witness stopped on a trail for a snack while a companion rode ahead to scout. After hearing brush movement and heavy footsteps, the witness saw a tall, muscular, dark-haired biped step onto the trail, look toward the companion's direction and then at the witness, sniff and grunt, then walk silently across a meadow into thick brush. After the companion returned they found only indistinct marks and disturbed vegetation, then heard a single loud crack like wood being struck and fled the area.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent when they were awakened in the very early morning by prolonged loud screams, followed by heavy footsteps, sniffing and heavy breathing just outside the tent. They remained inside until sunrise. In the morning they found scattered pine needles and dirt but no blood or fur, and large deep human-like footprints leading away into a wooded ravine, which the witness followed briefly before packing up and leaving.

The witness and companions returned at night to the same lakeside spot where they had been frightened the night before. They heard a distant roar that suddenly sounded a few feet away, lit the area with a spotlight, and saw a tall upright creature with its back to them that ran and then paused. The creature roared again when shot at and pushed over a green cottonwood before the group left.
Loud vocalizations sounds heard
During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.
Tracks found in snow & other stories from vicinity of Bear Mountain State Park
The witness found footprints in overnight snow in the morning at home. The tracks started at a tree in front of the house, led around the back to another tree near the chicken coop, circled there about four times, then stopped with no trail leaving the circle or returning to the front. The witness covered one print with a garbage can lid to preserve it for a photo but never got a photo.

The witness and a companion were cross-country skiing on a logging road in January when they found large, fresh, barefoot-like tracks crossing the trail. The tracks had not been there about ten minutes earlier, were estimated at 1.5 to 2 feet long, and only two prints spanned the 6- to 7-foot-wide trail. They found no vehicle tracks or other human footprints to explain them and left the area quickly.

The witness and a relative were taking a break from farm work to shoot targets on ice by a creek behind the farm. The witness noticed a large five-toed footprint in the ice, described as twice the size of a normal human foot, with a heel print on the opposite bank and no additional prints. The witness, who described experience with animal tracks from trapping and hunting, thought the prints could have been made by a big foot.

A week later the witness returned to the same woods with a relative and dogs. Footsteps followed them and stopped when they stopped, then something circled them whooping and making gibberish sounds while another answered from the right. Trees sounded like they were being ripped up and the dogs fled the area.

The witness and four companions camped overnight on a mountain ridge to celebrate finishing a music recording. Late at night they heard clear bipedal footsteps approaching up a steep slope, followed by breaking limbs and circling around their camp outside the firelight for over half an hour. They also heard loud exhaled huffs that frightened them. They abandoned camp and returned the next day for their gear.

Around 1990 the witness was called to a friend's rural property after livestock losses and a hog attack. At the hog pen the witness and others found large human-like footprints in the dirt. Plaster casts and photographs were made of one print, with the cast later displayed and retained. Additional prints were later found leading toward a nearby cabin.

The witness was teaching a companion how to camp without fire or lights in wooded terrain when they realized they were surrounded by several large upright figures. The figures remained mostly still, with only minor sounds, while the pair talked and then backed out with firearms ready without firing at the figures. One figure was later seen leaping from the roadside high into a tree. The witness returned the next day to recover gear, found extensive large tracks, followed fresh tracks, and encountered one individual at close range.

After a severe blizzard that buried the barn and stranded the household for a week, the witness checked the lower barn door. The bottom was snowed shut but the top was open, with large widely spaced depressions leading through waist-deep snow toward the forest, interpreted as the occupant leaving. No animal was seen.

While walking on a forested rural road at night after a family argument, the witness was approached by a growling farm dog. Loud booms and cracking from the woods stopped the dog, then a tall figure with glowing eyes roared. The dog whimpered and fled, the figure vanished, and the witness ran home.
Family discovers fresh footprints in the snow while cutting down a Christmas tree
The witness family went into the woods in deep fresh snow to cut a Christmas tree. They found large footprints that crossed a pond and continued into a hemlock grove, with prints 12 to 14 inches long and a stride estimated at six feet. Something appeared to have stepped over a small leaf-covered tree without knocking leaves off, and the family dog barked intensely, leading the witness to feel they had just missed whatever made the tracks.
Ongoing encounters with a bigfoot on family property at Caddo Lake
The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand before dawn under a full moon. A large bipedal figure emerged from dense woods and walked along a pipeline clearing toward his position, then turned to face him after hearing his rifle safety click, walked backward briefly, spun around and reentered the woods. A larger tree nearby then shook violently, and after sunrise the witness and his companion found worn trails and a footprint but no clear tracks.

The witness and a hunting partner encountered a very tall hair-covered figure on a raised railroad bed while walking to their tree stands. They shone a flashlight on it, saw a huge hand raised to its face, and watched it approach to about 25 yards. They fled to a ladder stand, then heard it running and a violent fight with another unseen animal that ended with a splash in the river, after which they waited until daylight to leave.
Soldier on maneuvers finds large, human-like footprints at Fort Bragg
The witness was on a military training exercise at Ft. Bragg when he walked away from his group after sunrise to a small sandy clearing. He found very large human-like barefoot tracks with a smaller set of child-sized tracks crossing the clearing into surrounding pines. He followed them across the clearing where they disappeared into the trees, but returned without others examining them due to lack of time.

Children discovered large footprints on a river beach across from a campground. An investigator visited the site days later and documented about half a dozen large tracks leading from the water's edge upstream to bedrock. The tracks were estimated to be at least two weeks old, with grass growing in them.
