A group of six hikers on the second day of a trek along Lion Creek found large footprints at a pressed-down nest site with a strong musty odor. Four people driving two jeeps on the inner perimeter road of Hopkins Prairie stopped when a large creature appeared about 100 to 150 yards away at the edge of a campground. They watched it walk around a small area with long arms swaying at its sides before it turned and walked into the campground and disappeared. They then went to the spot and found a footprint in wet ground and flattened grass with a stride too wide for a relative to match.

The witness was hiking a loop trail in a nature preserve in the afternoon. After hearing something large move away through the woods, the witness noticed a single large footprint on the hard trail surface and photographed it. Over about an hour the witness heard a single knock, shed creaking as if pushed, rustling and footsteps on gravel, a possible growl and chewing, and a single whoop with no reply. The next day the witness found a large footprint in the gravel near where the sounds originated and photographed it with a tape measure.

Around midnight on January 21, 2017 the witness was making calls from the front porch and received a wood knock response from across the street, which drew the dog into the woods. When the dog went quiet the witness entered the woods, beat on an oak and shouted for the dog, then heard knocks, chest-beating, howls, a bluff charge and a tree pushed over while seeing eyeshine. After the witness told the entity to back away, the dog returned and they went home.

The witness and her husband were snowshoeing in the early afternoon when they noticed a strong foul odor and a single set of large bipedal tracks in the snow. They followed the trackway for several hundred feet, noting a stride far longer than the husband could match. The tracks led to a hill edge where they appeared to leap down toward a clearing, with paired landing marks visible below.

The witness was cooking outdoors midday with a relative and the property owner when a large hairy figure was seen standing by a tree in a field 300 to 400 yards away watching them. The witness took a cell phone photo, and about 40 seconds later the figure was gone without being seen leaving. The witness and the relative then walked to the spot, found tracks, and estimated the figure's height at 8 feet from tree marks and the photo.

The witness and a companion spent three days fishing and camping at a remote lake. On calm nights trees fell near camp, and each dawn they heard rhythmic wood-on-wood pounding for nearly an hour. They saw a dark partial figure behind a lakeshore pine, heard a long piercing scream with fast hillside movement, heard distant talk-like sounds and short screams, and found a single large human-like footprint in mud on the way out. They also saw an orange light over the lake that split into smaller lights, followed later by jets overhead.

The teller's uncle walking his dog found a line of large human-like footprints in light snow dust on an old rail-trail through a large gun-club property. The teller came and measured 14 to 15 inch tracks in single-file heel-to-toe with a very long stride for 20 to 25 prints. The trackway doubled back and left into a cornfield where snow ended.

On September 11, 2016, the witness went to feed trout kept in a barrel at a spring on a family farm and found two fresh tracks in soft mud where cattle had been drinking. The witness chased the cattle away and made a plaster cast of the right track, noting the left track was angled and could not be cast. An investigator later visited the site, documented the stick fence around the spring and the cast dimensions, and noted additional sounds reported at the location.

While searching for shed moose antlers, the witness and a companion followed moose tracks past a clearing to a small runoff ditch. There they found a single very large five-toed human-like bare footprint with no claw marks, which they photographed with small objects for scale. They also noted multiple similarly broken trees angled to point along the game trail into dense woods.

Two people hiking about a mile from a trailhead found two very large human-like footprints with distinct toes in soft ground beside the trail. They could not match the prints with a phone track-identification app and thought they might be Bigfoot, taking photos. The witness reported being awakened at home by loud vocalizations and sounds of objects hitting the house, with farm and domestic animals reacting. He went outside armed to check the chicken pen and reported seeing a man-like bipedal figure taking chickens and retreating toward the woods. He said he pursued to high ground and aimed through his rifle scope, but branches fell near him and loud movement approached from both sides, prompting him to retreat and later fire toward the hollow. A single track was reported in the creek bottom the next day, but erosion had removed detail.

The witness and her daughter's friend drove past a huge gray-skinned creature standing in a highway ditch with its back to the road. It stayed motionless in the headlights and appeared to be rummaging in trash. By day they found numerous large human-like footprints in a shallow spillway and on a sandy bank, which they photographed with boots for scale. They reported no visual sighting but concluded the sounds and tracks were from a large, athletic creature.
