The witness went to the rear deck with a shotgun and heard prolonged commotion including shaking trees in multiple spots, breaking limbs, running footsteps approaching the deck, and aggressive grunting very close by. They did not see anything, kept lights off out of fear, and then heard what sounded like several large creatures retreating to the tree line. The next day they found pushed-over bushes and freshly broken branches.

A family was camped in a trailer near a treeline with a deer carcass stored nearby. During the night the family was awakened by rocks hitting the trailer, knocking sounds, growls, screams and whoops. The witness later went outside with a flashlight and saw a single glowing red eye high in the treeline. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

The witness reported ongoing activity near a forested home beginning in early spring 2013. During an initial walk in pines, he heard an extremely loud knock that frightened him and later heard whistles from the woods. He also reported finding multiple large and small track sets. Around 2 a.m. the husband saw a tall hair-covered biped beside their SUV and illuminated it before it ran past him over a gate into the woods. Later both heard knocks and rocks striking their tent for about an hour until a large rock tore the tent roof. Next morning they found partial prints and fresh bark damage before leaving.

The witness and four companions were pausing in a hay field during a target-practice outing when the witness spotted a large dark figure rising from a blackberry patch. The figure walked across a trail, paused by a fir tree and looked toward the group, then continued into an adjacent field. The group went to the spot, found flattened brush and a bent-grass trail, estimated the figure's height against the tree, took photos, and then heard knocking beats and hooting sounds after birds flushed and dogs barked in the distance.

The witness was walking down a woods road when three loud knocks were heard from brush to the left. The witness knocked back on a pine tree and received a two-knock reply, followed by another striking sound from the opposite side. The witness later found a wooden club and holes near a pond, and found a pile of feces on the trail when returning the next day.

After exchanging wood knocks with an unseen source to the south, the witness heard slow cautious bipedal footsteps approach and a loud splash in the channel separating the islands, followed later by fainter steps retreating. The next day after snowfall, the witness returned and found a fresh cow elk carcass with its chest torn open and large indistinct tracks with a long stride nearby.

They heard persistent huffing and a growl, experienced silence and a sense of being watched, and reported a dark shape blocking a camper window. When leaving they later found muddy primate-like handprints high on the camper and a trailer lock twisted and broken.

The witness was camping alone in a tall tent when something large approached at night. A tall shadow with broad shoulders was cast on the tent by an outside lantern. The visitor opened food containers, ate bread, growled, overturned a cooler and carried off meat before leaving toward the river where vocalizations were heard. Large footprints and teeth marks were found the following morning.

Three children walking on a wooded footpath noticed a tall female-like figure with a smaller juvenile standing by a tree off to the side. The larger figure stared at them, gave off a dead-animal smell, stepped toward them, growled and bared its teeth after being pointed out. The group fled toward a residence while hearing branches breaking, prolonged howling and screaming, and trees being beaten.
A couple is escorted out of the forest after finding a possible nesting area near Rio Grande
The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

In the early morning the homeowner heard loud inhaling, exhaling and stomping from the tree line behind the house while dogs reacted fearfully. After a family trip, other members heard howls and the family later saw large dark figures moving fast on the ridge and trail with trees swaying. The family found large footprints, snapped trees, log structures and arches in the woods.
