Two brothers camped overnight beside a lake in the park. During the night and again after dawn they repeatedly heard a loud aggressive exhale-like sound nearby, along with footsteps and branches breaking as something moved through the forest, followed by scream-like sounds that turned into chatter. In daylight they found a matted vegetation bed, a fresh flattened trail, and footprints in mud where the sounds had come from. The entity itself was never seen.

They found a 14 to 14.5-inch track off the main trail, followed back-and-forth walking in palmettos, and the son then saw a very tall creature for four to six seconds and drew it. A large rock was then thrown from the woods over the fire between the two people, the witness fired two shots into the air, and the figure was heard moving, breaking a tree, splashing across the creek, and ascending the opposite hillside. The pair left most gear behind, drove home, and returned the next morning to recover equipment and examine the broken tree.

They later heard a very large animal moving away breaking branches, found no sign after sunrise, and left to hunt elsewhere.

On a Friday night during an archery-hunt camping trip, the witness and a relative sat by the campfire while two unseen presences circled the camp, breaking branches, pacing, and making heavy footsteps. Small rocks and sticks were then thrown into camp, including a softball-sized rock that landed nearby, followed by impacts on a food box and the trailer. Others sheltering in the trailer also heard footsteps, breaking branches, impacts, and a heavy sigh, and later a branch-like object was dragged across the trailer roof.

Overnight the campers were awakened by sounds around the camp followed by a loud crash, and by morning the food hung high above ground was gone, the supporting limb was damaged, and a foul smell lingered. The group then packed and left the area.

Two people were camping on an island when they heard strange noises through the night into the morning. Around 8 a.m. the noises stopped and they heard something large running on a nearby island, accompanied by a very bad odor. They later found many large tracks around their island, plus a pile of clam shells and a large indentation that had not been there earlier.
