Possible activity experienced by campers at a popular campground in the Mount Hood National Forest
The witness and two companions camped in the Mt Hood National Forest with a barrel of animal entrails intended as bait. Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.
Possible track way found in Hosmer Lake near Bend
Three people paddleboarding in the shallow back end of a lake at sunset came across a long trackway of very large footprints in the mud under the water. The prints appeared to follow elk tracks and occasionally veered aside near underwater nest-like depressions with shells. No figure or animal was seen, and the witnesses estimated a foot far larger than a human foot with very long strides. The tracks had washed away by the next day.
Possible vocalizations heard while visiting McKenzie River Valley
Late at night at a yurt near a creek, the witness stepped outside and heard loud hooting/howling from across the creek. The sound was heard two more times from inside the yurt, and later the witness saw a faint outline duck behind trees on the hillside. The next morning a partial muddy footprint with hairs was found leading toward the yurt door.
Young male hiker experiences strange events and finds possible tracks at a campground in the Blue Mountains
The witness camped alone at Skyline Campground and hiked toward the wilderness. While setting up camp and hiking he felt a ground thump, heard repeated low growls and tree-knocking that seemed to mimic his own thumps, and found multiple footprints including a well-defined deep print. After the other campers left and the sounds resumed behind his site in the early evening, he left the area frightened.

While picking mushrooms with a companion in a remote brushy area, the witness reported finding a single large indented footprint. Shortly after, they observed a nearby tree that was snapped and shredded several feet above the ground. The pair then left the area.

The witness and her husband took two nieces to wade at a swimming hole under a railroad bridge. While the husband explored the wooded edge alone, he heard whisper-like voices and mirrored footsteps that left him uneasy. As he rejoined the group and recounted the experience, a large limb flew from the trees into the water, followed by a loud splash and grunt from the same area. The group apologized, left tobacco, and departed without investigating further because of the children.

The witness explored a clearcut in Coos County Forest looking for hiking routes and found a bare footprint larger than his boot with visible toes. After rain washed the area, he returned and found additional larger and smaller impressions with a roughly six-foot stride, and later found similar long impressions on harder ground nearby. On a return visit he also heard repeated short whistle-like sounds receding from the creek area but saw no source.
Night time calls and footprints witnessed by several people northeast of Colton off Highway 211
The witness was visiting a friend's house near Colton when strange birdlike noises were heard from the treeline overnight. Five other people joined the witness to listen and agreed the sounds were unfamiliar, and shining a light toward the closest sounds made them stop temporarily. The noises continued until shortly before dawn. In the morning, possible unfamiliar tracks and a trail of pushed-down grass with long strides were found in a field behind a stream.
Family members encounter footprint
While hiking with two relatives in the Siuslaw National Forest, the witness was shown a single large footprint in dried mud beside the trail. The print was measured, photographed, and cast, and the surrounding area was searched for additional sign without success. The witness states the origin of the print is undetermined.

The witness was hunting in the Wolf Creek Road area when they found a large five-toed footprint trail leading up from a creek bed. They measured one print and noted it left a one-inch depression where their own weight left no impression. No odor, scat, or unusual limb breakage was observed.

The witness was bow-hunting in coastal second-growth forest on the morning of 9/1/01. He heard whooping and scream-like vocalizations followed by a large tree falling, plus heavy footsteps, and later found large ground impressions, broken limbs and tops, and animal hair high on a tree. An investigator later reviewed photos of broken and twisted trees and received frozen scat and hair samples for examination.

On March 18, 2001, two brothers hiking near Table Rock Wilderness found large bare-foot-like prints in snow that were larger and deeper than their own boot prints. They photographed the prints with a dollar bill for scale and estimated a 4-foot stride. No animal was seen, and a search of other prints found no hair.

The witness was scouting deer locations by vehicle with two relatives when he found a large human-like footprint at a logging-road turnaround overlooking a ravine. The relatives joined him to examine it closely and they found a coarse hair inside the print. They photographed and videotaped the print and kept the hair in a film container, but the hair was later lost while showing it to someone.

The witness and a companion were walking a logging road in the early morning while hunting. They heard an unfamiliar loud howl-like sound and found a five-toed footprint roughly the length of the witness's foot that looked deformed. The companion also saw the print and heard the sound. The area was described as unusually quiet, with two faint chirps and a brief feeling of being watched.
Large, barefoot, bipedal tracks found by trapper in a densely forested area
An experienced trapper reported finding a line of at least twenty large barefoot bipedal tracks that crossed a road and continued down a slope across a creek. The witness followed them briefly but stopped due to snow, blowdown timber and an approaching windstorm, and the original tracks were not measured or photographed. Weeks later an investigator toured the area with the witness and later found two additional tracks in soil, one estimated at 16 inches long with five toes visible and no claw marks.
Tracks found near a lake by witnesses
The witness reports finding tracks in soft soil at the edge of a freshwater lake in early October 1999, first a single set and then about two weeks later three sets of different sizes. The tracks were where large-leafed underwater plants were growing, and the plants appeared stripped from the water where the tracks were found. The witness photographed and videotaped the tracks and area, but weather destroyed the tracks before a cast could be made, and later visits in November and December found no further sign.

The witness hiked into a wilderness lake to fish from the shore. While fishing, the witness noticed a very foul odor, then heard sounds like something striking a tree, followed by a high-pitched howling/scream-like sound and more tree-striking sounds. Feeling watched and unnerved, the witness left the area, and on the trail out noticed fresh broken branches on a pine tree.

The witness and a relative were waiting in dense brush while bugling for elk when they heard approaching knocking, rustling and vocal sounds and noticed a strong unpleasant odor. They left the hiding spot as crashing sounds followed them uphill. Other members of the hunting party later said they had seen a figure walking on the hill where the pair had not been. The group later returned to the site and found unusual scat.
Witness noticed very strange prints on the ground
The witness and a relative were bow hunting in a burned area of national forest in the early afternoon. After parking, the witness walked a short distance into the woods and found 8 to 12 large human-like footprints. They examined the tracks for about 30 minutes without seeing a creature or hearing unusual sounds, then left the area.
