The witness was hiking with family members after missing a turn and ending up on an overgrown game trail. In a clearing they found a single large footprint in hard dirt that the witness could not replicate by jumping on it. They found no other prints, did not photograph it, and returned to camp frightened.

The witness was deer hunting alone on a snowy mountaintop where he planned to spend the night. He followed large human-like tracks in deep snow and found they were bare footprints with clear toes. Frightened, he left immediately, later noting more tracks and a small snapped-off pine surrounded by circling tracks on his way down.
