Over two nights a group of five gathered outside on the property for hide-and-seek and heard strange noises. The husband and a companion went to investigate and saw an entity 50 yards away hiding between two silos, noted for goldish reflective eyes, with a second smaller similar entity present on the last night. Tracks with reported measurements were found where they investigated.
Couple has fleeting, afternoon encounter near Barlow Pass
A couple on vacation stopped at a clearing near a deserted campground to look around. They found unusually large droppings, noticed the woods had gone quiet, and felt watched before leaving. Afterward the companion said she had briefly seen a reddish-brown bipedal figure across the meadow retreating into the forest.

The witness and three companions camped over multiple rainy nights. They heard persistent huffing and a growl, experienced silence and a sense of being watched, and reported a dark shape blocking a camper window. When leaving they later found muddy primate-like handprints high on the camper and a trailer lock twisted and broken.
Father and daughter observe unusual tracks
The witness and her father were hiking back toward Kennedy Meadows Campground after crossing the river upstream when the witness noticed unusual barefoot-like prints in the forest between the river and the Pacific Crest Trail. Both examined the prints, described as large, flat, five-toed and human-like. They could not age the prints precisely but thought they were made after rain five days earlier and within the last day or two.

While driving along a ridge road for field work, the witness noticed large bipedal footprints crossing the road and stopped to examine them. The witness counted about 20 clear prints with a long stride and recorded them on video before leaving. The witness and his wife snowshoed into their wooded farm property in winter and found two sets of large human-shaped footprints in snow. The prints were old and melted, about 15-16 inches long with about a 52-inch step, extending over 200 yards and separating then rejoining. The witness compared the alternating left-right stride to his own stride and to leaping deer tracks, concluding the stride was too long for a human and the shape differed from deer.

The witness reports being at the top of a hill in a pine forest after dark while a companion was below. A very hairy creature about 8 feet tall walked in a nearly human manner while making grunting noises, noticed the witness, then left. The witness reports photographing footprints left in mud.

Two companions shoveling snow noticed barefoot-like prints and followed them into the woods. They watched two large greyish furry figures, one pounding and shaking a thin tree and the other digging in snow, while noticing a foul odor. The creatures vocalized and ran off when they noticed the witnesses, who briefly tried to follow before giving up.
Nighttime sighting by motorists on Hwy 87 in Jacks Canyon, 30 miles south of Winslow
On Christmas Eve 2000 two people driving toward Winslow on Highway 87 passed a tall hairy figure beside the road near Jacks Canyon. The figure was seen in the headlights from about fifteen feet away and covered its face against the glare. The driver turned around to look again, but the figure had left at high speed into a nearby canyon, leaving long barefoot tracks in snow.

The witness and a companion were hiking in woods near a creek when they heard noises and noticed footprints with pieces of wood around them. The witness then saw a hairy ape-like figure about twenty yards away. Both individuals fled and returned home, where a family member did not believe them.

While deer hunting, the witness found many large tracks and followed them to a hidden hillside spring in a dry area. The water was murky as if recently disturbed, and the witness also found dung with an unusual sweet smell that was collected for testing. Two men had finished dredging for gold and were talking when they noticed a large dark creature about 100 feet away partly behind a dead tree and tailings pile. The creature reached up and snapped off a tree limb, looked at them for 10 to 20 seconds while a strong smell was present, then turned and walked into the woods. They stayed in the area for two more weeks with no further sightings but reported smelling it several times.

The witness and a companion were gathering cattle on horseback near a river at dusk when their horses and the cattle became agitated and the horses bolted toward the riverbank. On the sandy bank they saw a tall figure squatting, which stood up and watched them for about 30 seconds before running into the trees, breaking a small tree as it fled. The witnesses returned the next morning but found little sign due to overnight rain.

The witness was helping clear land on a forested property when they left companions during a lunch break to explore a ravine and entered a cave containing a large nest of fabric and vegetation. After exiting the cave and moving a short distance away, they heard a huff and saw the head and upper body of a hair-covered creature watching from rocks above the cave. The witness fled uphill to rejoin the companions.
