It leaned forward and gave an extremely loud high-pitched scream-like call heard again moments later, and the witness accelerated away without looking back.

The witness and a companion were leaving a fishing spot behind a fish hatchery at dusk when the witness heard a crash and saw a tall dark standing figure on the trail they had just used. The companion ran ahead while the witness briefly watched the figure before running to a truck in fear. The figure was described as very tall with broad shoulders and seen only as a silhouette for a few seconds.

The witness and a companion were clearing branches in a logged area behind the house when they found rock piles and ten small grass bundles containing field mice. A military controller and about 20 soldiers conducting multi-day field training heard unexplained footsteps around their concealed position on several occasions and later heard several loud wood-on-wood knocks from a direction where no troops were located. The unit checked team positions verbally and visually and investigated but found no source. That evening they heard a radio report of a separate sighting elsewhere on the installation.

The witness was with two companions walking a forest trail back to camp near midnight while using a thermal monocular and making howls and whoops. After hearing four return howls, the witness saw a bright heat signature through the thermal that peeked from behind a tree, disappearing and reappearing on alternating sides for about a minute. A companion also viewed it through the thermal and reacted with surprise. When the companions moved closer, the source grew smaller, moved through thick vegetation from right to left, and disappeared, with the witness discerning only what looked like a head.
