The main witness was camping with relatives in a trailer in thick woods near the Ohio River. At night while trying to sleep in the passenger seat, he heard an extremely loud scream three times in succession that became a low hoarse animal scream and ended in a growl, with echoes through the hills. He stared out the windshield and then hid under a blanket on the floor after failing to wake his relatives. He later could not recall what happened the next day.

Late at night during rain and lightning, the guest lying in her tent watched a side pocket repeatedly push inward about twenty times over roughly forty-five minutes. After waking her husband, she called others. A fellow investigator saw something large blocking a tall mirrored cabinet inside the open barn, then saw it run down the barn side with eyeshine in truck headlights. A distant whoop was heard afterward and no tracks were found on the packed ground.

After staying away for a couple years, the guest took a female friend fishing at night to show where activity occurred. While walking, they heard two or three loud piercing whistles from the same area at the same time. She froze and he led her onward, his heart pounding.

After moving in, the witness heard tunneling with ground puffing and falling rocks. One night awake in bed the witness saw something with big red glowing eyes standing over the bed that vanished when filmed. On other late nights a child's voice calling for help was heard from the field, which the family believed was not a real child and did not approach.
