A laborer picking berries was attacked by a hairy giant called Bosco that clawed his throat and struck him with a 25-pound window weight. The witness was hiking with companions and stepped into the woods on a mountain. The witness heard stomping and growling and ran back to the companions. A creature then emerged and threw rocks at the witness and the witness's boyfriend while a companion with a bow did not shoot.

In 1904 near Sixes miners reported a wild man seen three times in three weeks. Two men heard something walk around and shake their cabin corner, heard a frightful noise, saw it walk away, shot and missed. Later a similar visit at dawn ended with the creature hurling a four-pound rock after being shot at.

Youngsters skating on a river were confronted by a hairy creature that yelled and brandished a large club, causing them to flee to their wagons. Tracks later found west of the river were much larger than expected for its height and had four toes. The teller speculated a larger adult may have retrieved a juvenile.

A town selectman chasing a lost hog stopped in a clearing to pick blackberries. He saw a naked, hair-covered figure weighing about 180 pounds. The figure noticed him, made an unfamiliar sound, bounded over bushes, and disappeared.

Members of a berry-picking party heard a peculiar noise above a ravine and saw a nearly nude long-haired being with uneven limbs hanging on a vine and swinging as if humming. Upon seeing them it leaped from tree to tree and vanished while chattering.
Vocalizations heard from creature seen by witness
A father and son were returning from an unsuccessful hunting trip when the father stopped by a fallen tree to light his pipe and saw a tall hairy unclothed figure standing nearby. The figure vocalized loudly after noticing the man, then walked quickly toward the woods. The son joined his father and both watched the first figure and a second slightly smaller one walk along the woods edge before disappearing into the trees.

In 1884 a rural community living around Ocheesee Pond lost livestock and heard eerie nighttime calls from the water. After children were frightened by a hair-covered figure, residents formed a posse, captured it, and transported it chained to the governor in Tallahassee. The governor could not place it and sent it to the nearby Chattahoochee hospital, where it died and was buried under later construction.
Diary entry from 1882 describes screams and food disturbed
The witness and three companions were camped overnight during a berry-picking trip. Around midnight they were awakened by a loud scream, which was heard again the next morning while making breakfast and around 9 o'clock, at one point answering when the witness called out. Later that morning they found berries picked the previous day had been moved, the only sign of another presence.

A party out driving with horses through a hill pass had a lead horse become unmanageable and show terror as a wild cry came from the thicket, refusing to pass. Local farmers also reported livestock depredations and peculiar footprints in snow that searchers could not resolve. The newspaper presented the story without conclusion.

A traditional story tells of a goat hunter given an early rifle who shot what he thought was a black bear. Three large sasquatches stood up, swung the fallen body, and chased him to an unclimbable oval boulder he inexplicably scaled, then into water where they whooped chest-deep while a giant white one watched. He later carved masks and rock faces, fell into a year-long coma, and gained predictive ability.

An old tale tells of a settler who heard blood-curdling screams from the woods for several nights and set out with a lantern and gun to investigate. The screams stayed ahead of him until he heard terrible screams from his own home and rushed back. He found his family killed and reportedly saw a white ape-like shape with footprints burned into the grass.

After separating in the morning, one man found his partner dead with a broken neck and bite marks and fled, blaming a wild man.
Scream
The researcher and his group were surrounded all night by a group of creatures that screamed and made noise around their camp. One member saw one behind the tent and another was partially pulled from the tent. They remained in camp through the night without being eaten.
Wood knock in Ohio
A few years ago the witness stayed with her sister and daughter at a cabin near Salt Fork. They heard tree knocks around the property, a terrible scream on opening the door, babbling voices outside at night, and a loud one-two-three knock before leaving.
