The witness and a companion were walking down an old pulpwood road with a dog when they noticed a strong goat-like odor and heard rustling and a tree shaking. The witness pulled back branches and saw a tall, hair-covered biped running away downhill on two legs. The companion did not see the creature. The witness lost sight of it in pines and underbrush near a swampy area.

A group on a musky fishing trip in Canada heard loud roars from the woods that grew closer. Two giant black beasts emerged fighting, tumbling down the bank into shallow water, slapping, grappling and biting. The witness was sleeping in a cabin during a summer camp session when loud nighttime noises caused an uproar. A cabin-mate reportedly looked out and described multiple large, hairy, human-like figures near the water tower and cabins. The next morning the witness saw extensive human-like footprints, a large uprooted tree, and vegetation pulled from the lake. Campers were walked around the perimeter to view the traces and were sent home early.

At age twelve on an overnight science-camp trip, the witness slept apart from other children near a picnic table. Waking late at night to use the bathroom and holding a flashlight, the witness saw a very tall silver-white hairy figure standing nearby that turned slightly to look. The witness did not scream, checked that other children were asleep, looked back to find it gone, felt heavy vibrations as it left, and zipped into the sleeping bag until morning.

The witness, then a teenager, was riding in a car with friends at night near Allaire State Park when they heard a high-pitched screech. While making a K-turn, the headlights illuminated a very tall reddish-brown manlike figure very close to the front of the car. The figure appeared surprised by the lights, the driver froze, a companion honked the horn with no immediate reaction, and a musty smell was noticed.

Late at night three girls were lying on a bed by an open screened window talking quietly. After hearing footsteps and bushes rustling, a tall hair-covered creature placed its face at the window inches from the witness and stared for several seconds. The witness screamed and the group fled to another room, after which police searched but found nothing. The witness later said the creature matched descriptions of bigfoot she heard.
Friends fishing encounter "huge tall hairy thing" on path to camp
Two companions were returning to camp after fishing when they heard crunching sounds behind them on a sunlit forest trail. They turned and saw a very tall, hair-covered figure with long arms and a broad chest standing partly on the trail near a tree, staring and swaying slightly. The pair ran back to camp. They said they were unfamiliar with Bigfoot at the time and only later interpreted the figure as such.

A camp counselor leading about two dozen children on a backcountry hike reported encountering an erect, reddish-brown hairy creature at close range on a ridge in daylight. The creature watched the group for about a minute, then fled upslope on two legs. That night at a lakeside camp the group reported a strong skunk-like odor, distant landslides, a small dim green light, snapping branches, and large shadowy figures moving among trees for about two hours. Activity reportedly ceased after two counselors left to seek medical help for an ill child.

Over several days two cows vanished from a fenced pasture without tracks, blood, or remains, despite searches on foot and horseback. On successive nights the witness heard wood-on-wood knocking from two directions, described as communication between pastures. The knocking continued nightly for the rest of the week-long stay.

The witness and a young friend walked to a large flower-covered meadow to sit and watch nature. The insects and birds suddenly went silent, followed by grunting high in the trees and an unusual call sliding from high to very low. Both felt watched and chilled, then left for the house pasture.

The witness was with four relatives at a creek to set a fishing net and waited by a campfire. After hearing splashing near the net, the witness and a relative went to check it and walked past it. Nearby they heard limbs breaking and a very loud deep scream that seemed to shake the ground, then returned quickly to the campfire.

The witness, then age eleven, was on a week-long scout camp in a deep gorge. On one night the group heard loud guttural howling from the cliffs above. The next night something entered the valley, disturbed the main camp and the witness's isolated tent, shaking trees and the tent, and growled directly into the witness's ear, terrifying the campers until dawn.

The guest and his younger cousin were riding ponies on sandy fire roads when they found long scratch marks with no other tracks. While stopped discussing the marks as the ponies grew antsy, they heard a close growl and saw nearby brush shake violently. Both fled on the ponies toward home.

Around 2:30 a.m. while camping with a large scout troop, something emitted a super loud roar-scream that vibrated ground and air. Everyone woke with flashlights and struggled to sleep again.
Sasquatch sighting in Mississippi (1966)
The witness, then six, woke at night in a shared bedroom and heard cooing and clicking outside. He saw a large monkey-like creature leaning over a fence about 15 to 20 yards from the window, swaying its head. He woke his younger brother, both ran to their mother, who told them to go back to sleep without checking.
Family has early evening sighting near Weed
The family was finishing work at their bee yard in the evening when the father noticed a man-like figure standing by a tall stump. A very loud yipping yell was heard twice, the family dog reacted fearfully, and nearby coyotes fell silent. The figure loped away with dangling arms and long, sure-footed strides, and comparison to the stump afterward led the father to estimate it at about nine feet tall.
Possible encounter with soldier training training in the Olympic National Forest
The witness was taking part in a nighttime military training exercise in a forested area in 1966 and was returning alone to the company area around 3-4 a.m. He noticed the outline of a large upright figure coming down a steep sandy hill toward a logging road while hearing footsteps and shifting dirt. When he challenged the figure, it responded with a loud growl, and he ran to the campfire without hearing pursuit. He initially told others the pursuer was a bear but later concluded it had walked on two legs and was a bigfoot.
Youth's presence startles unknown animal
As a teenager cutting through dense swampy woods on a military reservation, the witness noticed the forest go silent and felt watched. He saw a brown, long-haired form that rose to an estimated 8-10 feet and crashed rapidly through thick brush. He remained frozen until normal forest sounds returned, then left and never returned to the area.
Memory told of strange occurrences while growing up near Castle Rock State Park
In the fall of 1965 the witness was staying in a trailer on the family property when loud screaming was heard approaching from the direction of the river. The witness and a relative heard something pacing behind the dwelling while the screaming continued, then striking the trailer sides four or five times. The witness fired a gun once from the doorway, after which no further sound was heard that night.
