While fixing a tractor the witness approached what he thought was a cow in tall corn. It stood bipedal revealing a huge black hairy figure that screamed loudly enough to be heard over the phone. It charged, chased him back to the tractor keeping pace, then ran back to the corn.

Two days later he found only the deer's ripped-off head with crumbling bone.

While culling deer after his grandfather died, the guest sat on a stump and twice saw a big black shape swaying behind a small tree. On the second sit a squirrel erupted loudly to one side with sounds like hand-slapping mimicry while the shape appeared closer, prompting him to leave the woods.

The guest's two young cousins tried camping in blankets tied by the creek next to the planted evergreens. Within an hour they fled back to the house saying only that something big, black and loud had frightened them, and never returned to the woods.

After she dropped a wood-box lid, she heard a strange deep whoop with a high pitch, and he heard the tail end as he came outside. Scream
The witness describes ongoing activity at a hunting lease including screams, deer disappearing in mid-November to mid-December, and broken trees. A trackway across a drying pond was found with a long stride and one print was cast. Game cameras captured images and a height estimate was made by measuring at the site. A hunting partner also reported hearing multiple trees snap and feeling compelled to leave, with breaks later found several feet high.
Howl
The witness was with a fishing partner and spouse at a boat ramp in heavy fog in the early morning. They heard a loud distant howl-scream twice, the second sounding closer, while nearby dogs reacted. They stopped and stared at each other, frightened. They quickly launched the boat and left.

The witness, then a child, was wading a shallow creek fishing while the older cousin fished separately. The witness heard bipedal splashes and watched a huge hair-covered human-like figure cross the creek, climb the high bank, and eat fish from the stringer. The figure looked back and forth between the witness and the approaching cousin, then took the stringer and left the way it came. The cousin called it by a local name, said it was a Bigfoot, and made the witness swear never to mention it.

While walking near a creek the witness heard something wading bipedally through water and making a lip-rattling sound similar to one the witness often makes. The witness tried to parallel it to see through an opening but only caught a brief flash of light auburn hair. After circling, the witness found a wet step on a root and bark pulled back where something appeared to have climbed out, but saw nothing further.

The witness's mother repeatedly heard something very heavy running past her bedroom window at the end of the house. It sounded like a herd of horses and happened many times over years. She would jump up to look but never saw anything.

A group camping with horses heard the horses startle something at dusk and then saw a huge brown figure about 6 feet tall running extremely fast across a meadow away from the horses in a cloud of dust. One tethered horse was so frightened it jumped over another horse. The witness concluded the figure could not have been a bear because of the sound it made and the way it ran.

A family camping in a primitive riverside area heard an extremely loud, shrill scream from near their trash area about 50 yards away after paper bags flared up the campfire. The sound moved rapidly downriver for several minutes, fading to a deep growl, while the adult dogs whimpered and the family became terrified. The father packed up camp that night and drove the family home, and the family later felt the sound matched a purported Sasquatch vocalization heard on television.
Man recalls adversarial encounter with an unknown creature near French Gulch
During midnight rounds at an isolated school compound, the witness crossed a suspension bridge and heard something raiding trash cans by the cookhouse. He threw rocks toward a large dark figure under the eaves, which stood erect, stepped onto the bridge, dodged thrown rocks, vaulted the bridge cables and fled upstream on two legs. He noted glowing eyes and a foul stench, then returned to his trailer without anyone else responding.

While living at Manton from 1987-1989, the witness's family repeatedly heard strange howls in the evening 2-3 times a week. The sound was thought at the time to come from the cleared swath up the hill along the penstock or powerlines. Years later the witness and family heard the Ohio howl recording and judged it exactly the same sound.

The witness stopped to rest during an early-morning fitness run near a lake area when he heard movement on a shaded, brush-covered hillside. About 20 feet away he saw a roughly 8-foot-tall upright figure that turned its upper body to stare at him before walking quickly uphill and out of sight. Shade prevented him from seeing facial details. He returned to the station convinced the figure was not human.

About 15 years before reporting, the witness and a friend paused at a saddle near Smith Mountain while hiking. They heard a very low growl/snuffling sound from tall bushes nearby that they could not see through. Frightened, they left quickly without investigating, and the witness later wondered about the source after seeing nearby reports.
