Sasquatch sighting in Mississippi (1981)
The witness crawled through a cane thicket to inspect an oak tree for a deer stand and found a large hairy creature sleeping. It woke, stood, paced and vocalized, then bluff-charged to within a few yards before veering off and crashing through the thicket. The witness kept his rifle ready, backed out scratched by briars, and was followed by screaming until he reached his truck and drove home.

Four people parked in a car by a small pond at night heard a loud growl from across the water. When headlights were turned on they saw a large dark hairy figure with a cone-shaped head and green eyes that moved its head and made grunting sounds. After difficulty starting the car, they heard a loud prolonged roar and saw the figure still there as they drove away.

Three teenagers stopped at night on a dirt road near a one-lane bridge to relieve themselves. They heard repeated grunting and growling from an oak tree with a thrashing limb, then watched a large hairy biped drop into a ditch and run through the car's high-beam illumination. It leapt off the bridge bank out of sight while its footsteps were heard continuing south, after which the group fled in the car.

The witness and a friend were in the woods near a creek bottom when the friend sensed being watched. The witness saw a figure about 25 yards away that was squatting, then stood seven to eight feet tall, covered in very dark brown hair except the face, and walked upright. It followed them to the edge of the wood line with a long stride and swinging arms while making whistling noises.

He saw a large monkey-like creature leaning over a fence about 15 to 20 yards from the window, swaying its head. The driver broke down on a rainy highway and was working in the back of a tall cargo van. A snorting sound came from outside, and a large hairy face appeared inches away in the open door. The creature vibrated the van with a loud growl, reacted to a pistol, then left. Lightning revealed two more figures nearby, and the driver fired and fled to town.

After a loud scream at the truck, they turned around in a field and were charged by three large creatures. A woman hunting deer watched a doe while a Bigfoot crouched below her stand and moved to the field edge. It seized the deer in a bear hug and killed it, carried it under its arm behind her stand, threw it down and began eating. She remained in the stand for hours until companions helped her down.

A deer hunter in a climbing stand watched brush moving about 200 yards away and saw a large dark form squatting and disturbing a tree. When his stand made noise it looked at him, stood on two legs and ran. He found a huge slide track, then heard a wood knock and a whoop from different directions and left, later refusing to return.

After dark they heard a loud splash, then a very loud wood knock, then another splash like a thrown rock. They moved to the top of the bridge and left on foot when another knock sounded as they walked away.

He heard an owl-like sound that struck him as a person imitating an owl and spoke toward it with no reply. He first rationalized them as people, deer, squirrels or owls. After his sighting he reinterpreted them as Sasquatch warning others of his approach.

While alone in the house napping, the witness heard footsteps come from the kitchen to the bedroom door. Something entered without the door opening and sat on the bed, depressing the mattress. The witness kept eyes closed and prayed until it stood up and walked back down the hall.

A tall broad figure about the witness's height stood 50 to 60 feet away in profile and then turned to face the witness.
