While cleaning drainage pipes in the morning the witness heard a loud wood crack like a large timber snapping. Looking toward the sound, the witness caught movement of something large and black moving away through thick brush. The witness could discern only size and color and considered it could have been a bear.

The witness was backpacking around Timothy Lake and sleeping in a tent. Around 3 a.m. on two nights, the witness heard loud repeated howl-like yells from across the lake that lasted several minutes. On the second night, immediately after the vocalizations ended, the witness heard a loud wood knock from nearby to the south.

The witness was staying five nights in a lakeside cabin in February with heavy snow. On three consecutive nights around 10 p.m., after stepping outside for a cigarette, the witness heard a very loud knock in the woods, often followed shortly by more distant knocks. Nothing was seen and the witness remained uncertain what caused the sounds.

During the night and again after dawn they repeatedly heard a loud aggressive exhale-like sound nearby, along with footsteps and branches breaking as something moved through the forest, followed by scream-like sounds that turned into chatter. In daylight they found a matted vegetation bed, a fresh flattened trail, and footprints in mud where the sounds had come from. The entity itself was never seen.

The witness was camping with a group on a friend's undeveloped property and spent two nights riding ATVs to a remote spot to try imitation yells and tree knocks for fun. The witness was photographing along the tree line on the south side of the lake when she heard a close grunting-snorting sound followed by a deep growl without seeing the source. Shaken, she returned toward two fishermen and then left across the dam, photographing a large print in the mud. From the car area she heard the same loud vocalization coming from across the lake where she had been and saw the fishermen hurrying across the dam, after which all parties left.
