Campers describe incidents over 3-4 hours with unseen animal near their camp outside Prattsburgh
The witness and a companion were camped overnight in a shelter when the witness heard movement circling the camp, popping-like impacts and growls. The witness briefly saw a large dark shape among trees that was gone on second look. After investigating, the pair heard a heavy bipedal approach pass close behind camp, prompting them to leave for the cabin. The next day the witness found a large footprint and a freshly fallen tree.
Two hunters experience vocalizations and encounter very large unknown animal
Two companions grouse hunting in a wooded gorge heard loud screaming-growl vocalizations from about 30 yards away in dense cover. The source moved around them with audible footsteps in snow and breaking branches, seeming to flank them and get behind them. After several minutes they left the area quickly while looking back and did not return.
Howls heard on Buck Mountain, 10 miles east of Whitehall
A couple left the trail to take photos by a creek. They heard loud deep roaring, scream-like and growl-like vocalizations approaching from across the creek, along with large branches breaking, and believed something was circling them. After the sounds stopped they felt watched, fled down the trail, and heard a large animal tracking them along the creek.

The witness's car sputtered to a stop on a bridge and the witness set out on foot toward home. From a dark forested slope the witness watched a tall tree thrash, then heard a massive thud, three loud knocks, and rapid footsteps sprinting uphill toward the road. An unseen presence stopped feet away breathing sharply, then repeatedly ran ahead and waited, forcing the witness to pass it several times over an eighth to a quarter mile. Near dawn where cover ended the presence vanished without ever being seen.

The same witness returned to the same trail years later with a different companion, heard movement in the swamp, smelled a powerful odor, experienced sudden silence, and felt followed while leaving.

The witness reported horses avoiding a pasture behind the house and corral rails repeatedly pulled down in one direction at night. Recently after tossing a stone onto a wall and making a clack, a similar loud clack answered within seconds from a ravine across the street.
Tracks near Tivoli, New York
While investigating a farm, the team found large tracks along a tractor road, cast a 17-inch track, and found hair on a barbed wire fence. They also heard wood knocks and hoops, and the farmer said cows stampeded through a metal fence to escape the area and will not re-enter it.
