Scream near Prospect, Oregon (2001)
Two brothers were deer hunting and walking the center of a dark highway back toward town at night. Two unseen animals on opposite sides of the road screamed repeatedly, closed distance, and paralleled their movement. The men stood back to back, shouted warnings, and fired rifles until the sounds stopped and headlights appeared.
Predawn sighting on north side of FM 1375, just east of bridge over Lake Conroe
The witness stopped at the roadside by a lake shore before dawn while commuting to work and noticed a strong musky odor and a woofing sound. A tall dark-haired entity stood up beside the witness, shook a small tree, made a squealing bark sound, then strode past onto and across the road into pines as a truck approached. The witness immediately left the area.
Three friends have close encounter
The witness and two companions were walking through woods along a stream after midnight when all three noticed a strong urine odor. The witness and one companion then saw a very tall dark figure with large eyes that appeared to walk on two legs. After the witness threw a rock, the figure walked away but followed the group at a distance as they hurried back to their truck, throwing rocks as they went.
While conducting sound survey project, two team members see Bigfoot
A team of four was conducting a nighttime sound survey from a clear-cut overlooking a river valley while one member did a live radio interview from a parked vehicle near the treeline. The interviewer heard repeated charging sounds, footfalls and a grunt-growl from dense brush a few feet away while two teammates uphill watched with a night-vision device. The uphill observers reported a huge 8-foot-plus figure about 25 feet away leaning side to side to look through the trees and moving its arms. The episode lasted about 30 minutes, followed later by a distant scream, and a next-day search found disturbed soil but no footprints.
Two hunters experience vocalizations and encounter very large unknown animal
Two companions grouse hunting in a wooded gorge heard loud screaming-growl vocalizations from about 30 yards away in dense cover. The source moved around them with audible footsteps in snow and breaking branches, seeming to flank them and get behind them. After several minutes they left the area quickly while looking back and did not return.
Day hiker sees large, hairy animal which seems to follow him
The witness pulled off a highway west of Cody in late afternoon to hike north through timber and rocky outcrops. Over about an hour the witness heard rocks rolling, brush breaking and movement that seemed to follow and stop with them. While returning toward the road the witness turned to see an upright, brown, long-haired animal about 60-70 yards away that immediately leapt into dense timber. The witness was uncertain whether the sounds and sighting involved the same animal and noted a bear as a possible alternative, only later considering Bigfoot after finding a website.
Howls heard on Buck Mountain, 10 miles east of Whitehall
A couple left the trail to take photos by a creek. They heard loud deep roaring, scream-like and growl-like vocalizations approaching from across the creek, along with large branches breaking, and believed something was circling them. After the sounds stopped they felt watched, fled down the trail, and heard a large animal tracking them along the creek.

While deer hunting from a tree stand in the morning, the witness was approached by a companion who was pale and frightened and said something had stalked him aggressively and emitted a terrifying yell. The two investigated together and reported finding trees snapped off high above the ground and deep elongated impressions in dry ground, which they followed for two miles into dense foliage. The witness adds that he was stalked himself the next day.
Vocalization, followed by sighting near Carnation/Fall City
Four telephone-line workers heard ape-like high-pitched sounds while working on an isolated road lined with pines and brush. After the witness mimicked the sounds, a large hairy biped crossed the road about 60-70 yards away and paced back and forth, repeatedly stopping in the road to stare at the witness. The witness described upright human-like walking, long arms at the sides, hips wider than shoulders, and an extremely large foot. The animal eventually left into thick bushes leading to heavy fir.
Rocks thrown at two hikers on Heather Lake Trail
Around 2001 the witness and a companion hiked Heather Lake Trail in the late afternoon as the last hikers on the trail. While taking turns stepping away to urinate near the top, each had a rock thrown at them from an unseen source. As they hurried and then ran back down, they heard heavy stomping and breaking branches moving parallel to them, and another rock was thrown after they briefly hid behind a tree, prompting them to flee to their car frightened.

Three teenagers were fishing and cooling off in a creek when something crashed down the steep hillside, threw a rock between them and screamed and roared. They scrambled to the bank and saw a large hairy human-like creature at close range making a display, tearing up ground and showing its teeth. They fled, leaving all their gear, and never returned.
Forest worker has many encounters with bigfoot
Two forestry workers resurveying a remote allotment for a timber harvest reported being followed at a distance while smelling a heavy stench. During a break they heard large movement in the brush, threw a piece of wood toward the sound, and then saw the backlit shadows of four hair-covered figures behind bushes in a break of sunlight. The witness described two large males standing motionless, a thin female with a hump who vocalized and wrung her hands, and a smaller child-sized figure, before the light faded and the pair left the area to finish work later.
Paranormal encounter in Michigan (1997)
The witness and a trooper responded to a health facility for a report of a possibly suicidal staff member who had reportedly turned his head fully backward with eyes rolled back. The next morning multiple officers fought for many minutes to restrain the same small man, who displayed extraordinary strength, chanted unintelligibly, and turned his head backward with whitened eyes. Medical testing reportedly found no drugs or alcohol, and the man later left the area.
Father and son glimpse large, upright animal while hunting near Smith Slough
A hunter and his son paused on a ridge while elk hunting in the morning after hearing a noise and a snap. The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. The son reported hearing a high-pitched scream and grunting that the father could not hear. They searched the spot but found no sign, noting an unusual absence of deer and elk sign.

A man cutting through a cemetery was grabbed by the arm and smashed to the ground by something huge. Looking up he saw a large dark-furred creature with a German shepherd-like head slobbering, growling and sniffing his body before running off on its hind legs.

The guest, a soldier in training, went for an evening run on a straight road through woods on base. Something in the woods mirrored his footsteps and paced him as he ran back, staying about 25 meters away despite his speed. At the edge of the woods near the barracks he heard a tree smashed apart and saw cream-colored legs from the waist down before the figure walked away.
Night time harassment of Army patrol on the west edge of Ft. Stewart, 5 miles NE of Glennville
Six soldiers on a night recon patrol through swamp heard an unseen presence following and circling them closely for 10-15 minutes, weaving between them even after they split into two groups. Later two soldiers in ambush position heard a loud scream-roar twice, followed by the sound of a large rotten tree falling and brush breaking. The sounds then stopped and the presence was heard leaving.

The witness and a companion canoed to a remote shore of a lake for lunch when they heard growling and smelled a foul odor. They pushed through brush and saw a huge dark-furred biped about 20 feet away apparently feeding on a small animal. The creature stood to about 7-8 feet, looked at them, then grabbed its meal and ran off while the pair retreated to their canoes.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight in the woods when they heard an unexplained sound and smelled decaying flesh. They heard something moving toward them and fled to a moonlit clearing where they saw a bipedal creature they first called a bear. The witness fired a shotgun into the air without stopping its approach, then both ran through a creek to a store to call for help. In later years they found broken trees and footprints they attributed to the same creature.
Unidentified sound in California (1995)
The witness and three other agents were on a midnight training patrol near a river in heavy fog. They heard a single very loud splash and then quiet shuffling steps moving upstream in shallow water, with coyotes acting strangely and no visible source. They searched with flashlights, found no entering or exiting tracks, and eventually left the area without an explanation.
