Two bear hunters were glassing a unit at sunrise when they heard a loud whoop from a tree-covered hill below. About thirty seconds later a second vocalization answered from another hill, and the two sounds continued back and forth until the hunters yelled back. The witness interpreted the exchange as two bigfoots communicating and said the sound was not heard again that trip.

The witness was bowhunting alone from a deer blind in the afternoon when gibberish-like hollering approached from behind the blind and grew closer. He looked with field glasses but saw nothing, then smelled a strong foul odor and felt intense fear. He left the blind with an arrow nocked and hurried toward his truck, hearing loud vocalizations paralleling him from the woods. He reached his truck and drove away without ever seeing the source.

The witness spent the summer camping in a tent in a meadow while working away from home. On many nights he was awakened after midnight by repeated long moaning sounds and at times heard walking sounds near camp, but a flashlight search revealed nothing. He also reported occasionally hearing wood knocks and bipedal footsteps trailing him along the woodline, with the source staying hidden behind vegetation.

A creature passed through the campsite toward the river, then ran back and into the woods behind the camp, seen only as a fire-lit silhouette. In late September 2005 the witness was camped at Jacob's Hill and sitting by the fire when a loud throaty wailing roar lasting about 5-10 seconds came from timber between meadows. After a radio mic click apparently drew it back past the truck, the steps departed again toward another camper's position, who also reported hearing movement. The episode lasted about 15 to 20 minutes and involved no visual sighting.

The figure appeared to glide smoothly without bobbing, paused briefly when shouted at, then continued away and disappeared. The witnesses went down to the meadow edge but could not relocate it.

The witness stepped onto the porch with two dogs for a cigarette when a very loud yell/scream was heard from the woods edge. The dogs ran about sniffing without barking while the witness got a light and gun, shouted a warning, then heard a second scream deeper in the woods that drew the dogs in for several minutes. The witness's wife also heard the sound from inside the house with windows closed.

Five people were camping near a river when they heard heavy, slow movement in nearby brush shortly after starting to cook. The brush noise was heard twice and stopped when approached. Later around 11 p.m. while sitting around the fire they heard brief distant screaming that they felt was not directed at them and may have been communication between distant animals.

About two years before reporting, the witness was riding a bicycle with a companion on a rural county road near Calhoun, just over the line into Walker County. From woods bordering fields the witness heard several loud sounds like heavy wood knocks echoing. The witness first assumed construction in the woods but later thought the sounds could have been a Sasquatch because the area was only woods and fields. The companion did not notice the sounds and the witness has not returned to the area.

After waiting, they heard a prolonged clamor of fighting coyotes uphill with a distinct human- or ape-like yowling mixed in lasting about 45 seconds. A logging crew traveling in a crew wagon encountered a large hair-covered biped standing in the road. The creature looked at them, then walked off on two legs while giving an elk-like scream. After the crew exited the vehicle they noticed a strong sweaty odor and heard it crashing through brush into dense forest. They radioed a supervisor about law enforcement follow-up, but no one arrived.
