Account
During a multi-night group expedition the witness slept locked in a truck parked on a logging road above the tent camp. At about 4:30 a.m. something struck the truck, waking the witness, who remained still with eyes closed and heard heavy bipedal footsteps walk away down the road. After a radio mic click apparently drew it back past the truck, the steps departed again toward another camper's position, who also reported hearing movement. The episode lasted about 15 to 20 minutes and involved no visual sighting.

A guide placed candy on a cooler to test whether the prowler was a bear, and the candy was still untouched in the morning.
Participants placed trail cameras on vehicle bumpers and aimed a thermal camera along the road during heavy rain.
