At close range he saw a creature kneeling on one knee that stood and stared at him before walking into dense woods and looking back once. He attempted to follow with an audio recorder but only heard uncertain sounds in the brush and eventually lost his pack and left as darkness approached.

The witness was sitting on the porch at night when the dogs reacted to a heavy stepping sound nearby. After getting her husband, the couple watched a grayish hair-covered biped about 5 feet tall leap onto and off a refrigerator on a trailer, knocking the trailer off its blocks. The animal then fled on two legs in a stooped posture toward the road while the husband fired a pistol into the ground.

On the last night of a camping trip, the witness lay awake in a tent around midnight and heard close footsteps and deep breathing from a large presence outside. The witness sat up, armed, and turned on a flashlight, after which all sounds stopped and a sudden intense dread lifted. No animal was seen, no odor was noticed, and nothing further happened that night.

The witness and his wife were bedded down in their pop-up camper at night when they heard lapping sounds and their skillet rattling outside. Loud, human-like whistles were then heard from multiple directions to the east, appearing to go back and forth for about a minute before stopping abruptly with a branch snap. Occasional branch-crunch sounds continued nearby for about an hour while the witness stayed at the fire, then slept in the truck without feeling threatened.

Around 9-10 pm as it grew dark, the group heard a loud, clear vocalization first thought to be a wolf or coyote but then judged to be neither. The sound continued for an extended period. The next day the witness compared wildlife recordings and found a BFRO howl recording to be the closest match, though quieter than what was heard.
