In summer 2016 the witness and a companion camped at a remote lake in Mt. Rainier National Park after fishing. Late at night while awake in the shared tent, the witness heard 8-10 loud low-pitched guttural screams in quick succession from a ridge about 300 feet above. The companion slept through the sounds and nothing else was heard. No tracks or other sign were found the next morning.
Couple hear possible knocks while fishing one morning near Lyme
The witness and spouse were fishing at a remote pond in the morning. After bringing fish to shore, the witness twice heard sets of three distinct knocks from a wooded slope behind them. No people were seen in the direction of the sounds, with houses located across the pond. The witness described the knocks as human-like and attributed them to Sasquatch despite no sighting or odor.

In mid-July the witness overnighted with the retired veterinarian after hanging game cameras. Around 1:45 a.m. he heard something walk around his tent three times and snap a twig. A strong rotten meat and feces odor then filled the area and made his eyes water. He did not see the source.

The witness and his wife were hiking to Crabtree Falls in July 2016 when they left the main trail to follow a creek uphill through boulders. Near the top of a 25-30 foot cascade the witness saw a tall lanky hairy figure crouched above the water with its arm in the falls. After his wife screamed the creature stood, grunted, stared briefly, then crossed the creek in one step and climbed out of sight, after which the couple left and avoided hiking for months.
Large trees shaking 15 miles SW of Asheville
The witness was working on an irrigation system in a wooded community adjoining national forest when he heard a loud crash and saw a large tree rocking with no visible cause. After waiting and approaching the tree line, the same crash-and-rocking sequence occurred with a second tree and then a third. Feeling watched and frightened, he left the property and rescheduled the work.

The witness and his wife were awakened around 3 a.m. by loud screaming sounds outside their home. The witness went to the rear deck with a shotgun and heard prolonged commotion including shaking trees in multiple spots, breaking limbs, running footsteps approaching the deck, and aggressive grunting very close by. They did not see anything, kept lights off out of fear, and then heard what sounded like several large creatures retreating to the tree line. The next day they found pushed-over bushes and freshly broken branches.

After he grunted jokingly in response, a large rock was thrown from that direction and splashed into the pond near him. He did not see what threw it and left the area immediately.

The witness was clearing a trail by a swamp when they heard two splashes from across the water without seeing the source. While on the phone, they saw a football-sized rock fly through the air about three-quarters of the way across the swamp and land in the water. Further down the trail the witness tried reproducing the sound with tree knocks, rocks, and hand claps, finding cupped hand claps matched most closely.

The witness stayed up late watching TV in an RV while her husband slept. She heard a series of loud, deep nasal grunt sounds from outside, estimated at about 100 feet away, which drew cats to the window. After going to bed she heard two distinct knocks on the side of the RV. She did not look outside and could not match the sounds to known animals.

The witness and her daughter's friend drove past a huge gray-skinned creature standing in a highway ditch with its back to the road. It stayed motionless in the headlights and appeared to be rummaging in trash. The next day the witness and her parents found large footprints with toes in mud and took photos showing a tree bend, an X, rock clacking sounds, and a possible face figure on the ridge.

The witness arrived before dawn to turkey hunt from a stick blind he had built the prior week. Before daylight he heard mumbling like people talking from in front and to the left. A tall hairy biped then stepped from brush, stood looking north, vocalized, left, returned, and was joined by a shorter female carrying an infant; both then walked west across the meadow and the witness left.

The adult daughter heard an extremely loud, guttural scream or howl lasting 30 to 60 seconds from the backyard behind the house at about 2 a.m. through her open upstairs window. They walked toward a beaten crossing area and heard very close low guttural sounds, then backed out together. The witness also describes finding a detailed multi-size trackway in sand and hearing monkey-like chatter and a scream-like holler that night.

The group found distinct five-toed tracks, heard an owl-call answered oddly, heard a warning-like howl and later chatter, and saw saplings broken at angles. While forward of the group at night the witness used thermal to see a large heat mass between trees that vanished, and shortly after others in the same vicinity were growled at.
