Rouckhound has sighting, is followed out of woods by creature

The witness was rockhounding with a dog at sunset and started hiking out. The witness saw a tall black figure standing partly behind a tree about 30 feet away, then walked away while smelling a strong foul odor and hearing grunting behind. The figure was seen again standing in a clear spot by the river about 50-60 yards back and appeared to follow by sound until the witness reached a truck and left.

Resident hears screams regularly

About a week after reported daylight sightings near Decatur, the witness sat on the back porch at home and heard an extremely loud, unfamiliar screaming vocalization from the hollow and creek bed below. The sound moved rapidly from left to front to right over about 30 minutes and continued after a short break, with dogs barking widely, and remained audible from inside the house. Around 9:30 the nearby screaming continued and a second distant vocalization answered, at which point the witness, being alone, went inside.

Toronto Police Officer hunting moose has close encounter

While moose hunting from an ATV in rainy daylight, the witness heard footsteps from a gully and saw a muscular hair-covered biped about 40 yards away. The figure grabbed a tree, ducked into dense brush, and a raspy cough followed by a deep sad howl was then heard from cover. The witness waited without further sighting and left the woods early, reporting fear.

The witness and a companion were camped overnight after fishing, and the witness repeatedly made loud whoop calls hoping for a reply. Around 1:30 a.m., after the companion had gone to sleep, the witness heard a single return vocalization from a roadless direction. The companion did not hear the return. The witness saw nothing and did not investigate the area.

Youths have nighttime sighting near North Webster

Three youths arriving home late at night saw a person-like form rise from where it had appeared as a stump near the water about 150 feet away. The figure walked quickly east along the shore, then turned and moved quickly back across the yard toward marshy woods by the trailer while making heavy running sounds. The youths rushed inside the residence and locked the door, remaining upset through the night.

The witness and a companion were walking to a house by a lake after a football game on a moonlit Friday night. They noticed a large dark bulky object sitting near the lake. The object stood up and ran east making loud noise, then came back along the same path running west. The witness estimated it was about 9 feet tall and 250-300 feet away throughout.

The witness had just returned home with two dogs around dawn when extremely loud, animal-like yells with a human-like quality were heard from near the horse barn. The sounds changed in character and moved toward the western edge of the property. The witness went to check the horses afterward but saw nothing unusual.

Deer hunter hears strange screams and possible stalking near Pigeon Mountain

The witness and a friend heard strange high-pitched screams on successive evenings while hunting. The friend also reported hearing something throwing objects around a treestand, and sounds described as wood hitting trees, sticks being thrown, whoops and screams. The witness did not see anything and interpreted the sounds as a Bigfoot displaced onto the property by nearby clearcutting.

The witness and a companion drove to a logged area to hunt deer and bear in heavy mist and fog, then separated. The witness walked down a deer trail toward a meadow near a creek, noticed a strong musky smell, and repeatedly heard limb-snapping and grunting nearby. Realizing the companion had returned to the vehicle, the witness became frightened, hurried back to the truck, and then perceived whatever made the sounds moving away uphill.

Late one fall night the witness and a companion returned home and heard loud, agitated cries from a wooded ridge behind the house. The witness listened from the deck for about ten minutes as the cries and loud shuffling through dry leaves moved closer and then farther away. Livestock in a nearby field reportedly crowded into the light and stared toward the noise while distant dogs barked.

Two campers watched deer remain fixated and agitated toward a mountain trail for about five minutes before calming. As the witnesses walked back toward camp, they heard a single long, echoing primate-like call from the dark woods in the direction the deer had stared. The witness later compared it to a gibbon call but with more body, and said he had never heard anything like it despite extensive time outdoors.

Strange odor precedes strange vocalizations in rural Texas

Late at night at home, the witness heard an odd noise and noticed a strong foul odor filling the house while the indoor dog reacted aggressively at the back door and door area. After his wife returned home, he opened the back door and both heard two loud, unfamiliar screams from the northwest about 100-150 yards away. No intruder or tracks were found, and dogs in the area remained agitated for several days.

Around 4:30 a.m. after hearing dogs, the witness went outside and heard a long guttural growl, a tree snap, and clicking sounds. He recorded huffing and rapid movement down into the valley where other dogs barked and a shotgun blast was heard, then heard the sounds return toward him.

Campers experience screams and tree breaking several nights in a row

The witness and four companions endured hours-long nighttime disturbances over three consecutive nights near a creek bed, including loud screeching and large pieces of trees being thrown toward them. Firing bullets into the creek bed did not stop the activity. On the final night the witness approached alone in the dark and the source retreated bipedally when approached, which the witness says was not an elk or bear.

Hunters hear loud vocalization and breaking branches

Two brothers were sitting by a campfire in front of their hunting cabin at night when they heard loud screaming and branches breaking about 25-30 yards away in thick woods. After lasting from about 30 seconds to several minutes they retreated to the cabin and their father came outside and also heard the sounds. The source stayed in the woods just outside the cabin floodlights, and deep grunting or breathing was heard after the thrashing stopped.

The witness was working overnight security at a remote strip mine and was resting in the guard shack during heavy rain. He heard crunching beside the shack, saw a shadow move toward the door, and something pulled on the door. After he shouted, he heard a terrifying screaming howl and the pulling intensified, so he heated a poker as a threat until it went quiet, then ran to his car where he remained the rest of the night.

The witness was staying in an RV on a remote homestead when neighboring dogs began barking hard around 4 a.m. He went outside, heard an unfamiliar howl, whooped back and heard it again. Neighbors later said they heard the same howl on their property and had gotten guns ready.

The witness and three companions were spending the night in a tent in a backyard with a small fire when they heard grunting or snorting noises for about 15 minutes. They then saw a tall hairy upright creature along the tree line at the edge of a harvested corn field for about 20 seconds. The creature looked toward them and then ran into the woods amid falling limbs and other noises, frightening them so they went inside.
