The witness and two companions were coming inside from a hot tub when they heard chirping calls from two sources that seemed to answer each other. This was followed by about five minutes of very scary howling and screaming sounds ending with chirps. The family dog reacted fearfully and would not leave the porch. The witness later said the sounds matched online recordings of alleged vocalizations.

Five people were camping near a river when they heard heavy, slow movement in nearby brush shortly after starting to cook. The brush noise was heard twice and stopped when approached. About two years before reporting, the witness was riding a bicycle with a companion on a rural county road near Calhoun, just over the line into Walker County. From woods bordering fields the witness heard several loud sounds like heavy wood knocks echoing. The witness first assumed construction in the woods but later thought the sounds could have been a Sasquatch because the area was only woods and fields. The companion did not notice the sounds and the witness has not returned to the area.

On two nights after 10 p.m. the witness and her daughter saw a short grey slender shape dash behind trees and run toward cover near the river, followed once by a thud and high-pitched shrieks.
