Description of several strange encounters along Sleeping Bear Dunes National Shoreline
Late at night the witness and a companion were in a boat on a lake when large rocks began splashing in the water near them. After several close splashes they heard loud splashing steps running away along the shoreline on two legs. They started the boat and left, stating the forested swamp shoreline was not accessible to people and the cause was not human or fish.

While on a multi-day canoe trip, the witness pulled onto a sandy bank at dusk to camp and fish. About ten minutes after a prior animal encounter, an unseen source came to the rim of the bank above camp and screamed twice, then screamed once more after a short pause before going silent. The witness readied a pistol but did not see the source and did not look for tracks the next day.
Possible stalking at rural school bus stop near Benzonia, Michigan
The witness was alone waiting for the school bus before dawn at the edge of woods. He heard heavy footsteps in dry leaves that appeared to pace him as he moved along the road. As he boarded the arriving bus he heard a deep growl from the woods behind him. He searched the area later that day and found nothing.

After other children left the field to go to the house, the witness stayed alone in the dark. A bright light behind him revealed a low saucer-shaped craft with spinning lights around its edge. It hovered, lit the area like daylight with a humming sound, then rose instantly high into the sky, and he ran home.

Everyone was asleep when screaming and commotion from the pig pen woke the household. The father went out with a flashlight while the family stayed inside. He found one pig scratched as if something had reached over the pen, and the pigs were soon butchered to avoid another attempt.

Neighbors a short distance up the creek called the witness's father around 1 or 2 in the morning. They reported screaming and noise with dogs and children frightened. The father loaded guns and drove down, but the witness did not recall what happened there.

The witness was alone in the dark near the site of the first sighting. He saw the full silhouette of a large figure standing in moonlight about 30 to 40 feet away. It made a low mumbled sound, then turned and splashed across the creek, and he ran to the house.
