Something off the trail followed alongside her, keeping pace and making increasingly loud breaking and movement sounds, and she glimpsed a very tall blocky dark shape moving beside her while hearing breathing. She stayed on the trail with it alongside until the edge of the woods, then ran to a nearby building while it remained in the woods.

The witness and her younger sister were talking in a dark bedroom late at night when they heard twigs crunching outside. Looking out the window in bright moonlight, they saw a very large hairy bipedal animal in the yard. Their grandfather came to the room, knocked out the window screen and fired a rifle at it. The animal bellowed, ran on two legs and stepped over a barbed-wire fence toward a creek, and no sign was found the next day.
