A truck driver hauling potatoes south on I-15 at night drove into fog and saw eyeshine beside the road. When he switched to bright lights, he saw a large hairy biped striding across the freeway from left to right about 20 feet away. He swerved to miss it, regained control, pulled over briefly while shaken, then drove on and called relatives to report the incident.

The witness fled toward the highway. The animal was described as large, muscular and fur-covered, tan or light brown in the moonlight.
