The witness was driving home at night with a relative when headlights revealed eyes ahead on the road. On approaching slowly, the witness described an upright, bear-like figure with dark hair, long limbs, and height comparable to a very tall relative. The witness returned the next morning and found no footprints, attributing this to dry, hard ground.

The figure stepped over a roadside fence, crossed four lanes quickly with a smooth gliding run, then stepped over a fence on the far side and disappeared into a pine thicket. A companion traveling with her did not see it.

The figure turned its head to watch the vehicle go by but was gone when the witness turned around and drove back minutes later. The next morning the same tree was found fallen across the road and was being cut up, destroying any possible tracks.

The witness was walking alone up an old mountain logging road when he came around a sharp bend and noticed a creature crouched in a creek crossing the road. The witness left the area and later confirmed no other hunters or vehicles were nearby.
