Grandmother has a possible night time sighting from her home in the city of Nevada
The witness was waiting at home for grandchildren to return when she saw a large dark bipedal figure crossing an open field and heading out of town. She estimated its height from nearby trees and heard it roar and bang trash bins or dumpsters as it moved southwest behind houses and a store. Dogs and coyotes howled as it continued toward a racetrack and treed creek area.

The witness was driving south to work in the dark in the early morning when a bipedal creature crossed the two-lane highway between the witness's vehicle and a truck ahead. The creature took three to four steps to cross, stepped over a guardrail, and walked up a steep hill into brush on the right side of the road. The entire event lasted an estimated 15-30 seconds and the driver ahead did not appear to notice.

Two occupants driving on Highway 54 west of El Dorado Springs at night reported their headlights illuminating a tall, hair-covered biped crossing the road. The creature crossed from right to left and stepped over a guardrail without breaking stride, then continued through a field where cattle moved away from it. Witnesses judged it to be over seven feet tall based partly on its size relative to the cattle.

The witness and her husband were awakened after midnight by strange sounds from their children's bedroom heard through a baby monitor, including squeaking at the window and a thump against the house wall. After the husband turned on exterior lights, the witness saw a large shadow move quickly away from the house toward nearby woods. Shortly after, both heard a very loud double whoop vocalization twice, which the husband said could not have been an owl.

They pulled close and watched it run on all fours then stand and walk on two legs in their headlights before it escaped behind a building toward a creek. About 50 yards ahead, a large dark hairy figure emerged from the treeline on the left and crossed the road diagonally on all fours. The witness was driving slowly on a rural road late at night after dropping off a relative. After braking for a rabbit, the witness reported seeing a tall ape-like figure running on two legs toward the vehicle. The witness accelerated away while the figure continued advancing toward the vehicle.

The witness was walking at night along a road by City Lake Park when he saw a tall, thin, hairy figure about 70 to 100 feet ahead pass under a park light. He says he walks there almost every evening and had never seen anything similar.

The witness was camping in brush with family members. About 4:30am on the first night he awoke to a strong skunk-like odor and a feeling of being watched. He rolled over and made out a very broad-shouldered silhouette with a head between trees about seven yards away. He turned away without telling family and waited for daylight, and the group left early after two nights.

It was described as about seven feet tall with sparse, long grayish hair, leaning forward as it walked.

The witness was driving on Highway 32 at dusk when she noticed a small dark-haired animal at the roadside eating from a trash bag in the ditch. As she approached and honked, the animal rose onto its hind legs and ran hunched over into an adjacent field. She stopped to search with her headlights but could not relocate it.

The witness was driving west on a highway in Taney County, Missouri on a sunny afternoon when he noticed a large black biped standing by a large tree about 50 yards from the road. He described it as at least nine feet tall and very wide, with long thick fur and a conical head set tight to the shoulders, and was certain it was not a bear. He drove back the next day, saw nothing, and took the absence as confirmation the figure had been real.

After a few steps they saw a very tall, broad figure that stopped and looked toward them, which startled them so they ran back inside the house. Soon after they heard banging sounds described like rocks being thrown at the house, but found no one outside when they checked.

The figure walked past a short decorative fence, looked toward the witness and met her gaze, then continued around a garage out of sight during about five minutes of observation. A dog on the porch barked timidly throughout but the figure showed no reaction or aggression.

The animal stood upright and approached the passenger side of the vehicle, coming close enough that its hair-covered chest filled the window.
