Recollection of a daylight sighting while deer hunting near Greenbrier River
In November 1969, the witness and his father were hunting in the morning when the father spotted what he first thought was a bear across a hay field. Both then observed a large brown-haired biped standing at the far fence line for an extended period through a rifle scope and field glasses. The father said he did not know what it was and chose not to shoot, and they returned to camp where he armed himself and kept the witness inside.

The witness was deer hunting alone from a ground blind in northern Minnesota. A frightened doe ran into the blind and lay down behind the witness. Shortly after, two large hairy creatures appeared on either side, one stepping briefly out of a cornfield and another showing only the top of its head in brush, vocalizing and moving around before leaving, after which the deer walked away and the witness left.

Late on a Friday night in October 1969, the witness and a driver were sitting talking in a parked car near woods and a brook. The witness noticed two red eyes in the road ahead, and when headlights were turned on they saw a hairy bipedal figure that stood up and slowly waddled into the woods. The witness ran inside a house while the driver drove away, and later told the witness's mother about the sighting.

While running down a steep slope to the water, the witness came within about ten feet of a tall, thin hair-covered figure crouched with its hands and feet on the ground and facing away. When the headlights were turned on, the group saw an upright figure covered in dense black fur standing at the edge of a clearing about 15 feet away. When the witness was ten, the witness and the mother drove at night to assist a relative whose truck had broken down near a creek and woods. Headlights revealed a crouched figure behind a fence watching the relative's truck. The relative and the witness approached on foot with a makeshift light, at which point the figure stood tall on two legs and ran into nearby woods, disappearing within a few steps.

Later after dark from a parked car, he watched a huge hairy biped jump onto the shelter patio, look around, rummage loudly in a metal dumpster, then lift it overhead and slam it down while nearby adults barely reacted.

When her sister passed a natural spring, a tall hairy creature stood up from the brush, and the witness screamed for her sister to run. Her sister saw the creature and ran, while the creature quickly stooped back down and moved into brush along the creek.

In July 1969 the witness and two younger brothers were on bikes on a bridge over a creek when they watched a 4-foot dark brown young animal play in a tree about 300 feet away for five minutes. The witness felt overwhelming terror without seeing a threat and led the brothers away. While they rode about a half mile home, a brother reported a strange hairy man chasing them, which the witness interpreted as an adult protecting its young.

The witness and his wife were lying awake in a lakeside cabin at night when his wife repeatedly said a raccoon was looking in a small rear window. After several minutes he rolled over quickly and saw a dark-faced, brown-furred creature with a large conical head peering in, which left within seconds. The next morning he found a single large heel/footprint about eight inches wide in mud by a small stream behind the cabin.
