The witness and three friends camped in the park in summer 2019 and hiked the towpath trail near the river after dusk. They had sticks then small rocks thrown behind them, smelled a pungent odor, felt watched, and fled. After stopping to rest they heard a loud deep growl and saw a very tall dark-haired humanoid in a weapon-mounted light before it stepped behind an oak and disappeared. They ran to camp, heard disturbances overnight, and in the morning found the campsite strewn about, a food pot missing, and two neat piles of large rocks by the fire pit.

The witness was driving with a companion at about 6:30 p.m. in darkness when both saw a dark human-like figure sprint across the road from north to south in the headlights. The driver saw two humanoid legs and a tall body covering the road in about three fast strides before it disappeared, while the companion saw only a shadowy figure. They did not stop, and the oncoming car was seen braking.

The witness walked her husband out the back door on a moonlit night and saw a very black side-view silhouette glide across the white siding of a neighboring building. Only the upper body from bicep up was visible on the second story, showing heavy musculature and a protruding brow. They watched it continuously as they approached, noting its long arms, long strides, and large size. The witness was fly fishing with five friends in the evening when the group heard a snap from across the river. The witness claims a tall creature stood up, growled, and trees fell as the group fled to their truck, then saw the creature walking in front of the gravel road watching them. The witness was driving to work through the park in the morning when she saw a large hairy brown figure standing on the roadside berm before it moved into the brush. The encounter lasted about 10 seconds and she did not see its face. Later that day she returned with her daughter and found a footprint, which investigators later documented and cast.

He noticed a tall, slender silhouette moving upright on two legs along the campground road away from him. A family of four driving through Geneva State Park in daylight stopped after noticing a large dark bipedal figure moving through snowy woods. The figure was watched briefly for about ten seconds before disappearing. Shortly after from a nearby parking lot the adults made whoop calls and heard replies described as whoops, a scream or growl, and wood knocks, while also noticing a strong unpleasant odor.

It walked away down the exit trail, and the witness briefly pursued it, then heard branches breaking as it circled while he backed out of the woods shouting.
