The witness was driving on a narrow wooded road in late morning with three young passengers in the car. She noticed a tall reddish-haired figure in a thicket ahead, initially mistaking it for a horse. As she drove closer the figure turned to look at her, then crouched behind a small tree and watched her pass at close range. She kept driving without stopping, and the passengers did not see it.

After losing it briefly, the witness watched through binoculars as a bulky dark-haired figure walked upright downhill for about 100 yards. While elk hunting on a snowy open hillside, the witness watched a hairy upright creature walking rapidly away from about 100 yards for a minute or more. The creature was short, about 5-foot-6, with a large barrel chest, long arms, dark brown hair, stooped posture and long bent-knee strides. The witness's adult son was traversing the hillside nearby but did not see the animal.

The first creature ran out from one treeline, retreated when two dirt bike riders appeared, then reappeared with a smaller second creature and both crossed to the opposite treeline. Late on a cold fall night, the witness walked out of a separate laundry building at a rural apartment complex and saw a human-like creature about 20 feet away searching through a dumpster under bright lot lights. The two looked at each other briefly, then the witness ran toward the apartment, fell on a gravel road, and looked back to see the creature running away about 200 feet distant.

Before sunrise during deer shotgun season, the witness sat against a tree near a damaged bridge and dozed off. After hearing a twig snap, he saw a tall dark figure walking with long strides along a trail and crossing the washed-out bridge without breaking stride. He first assumed it was another hunter, but later realized no other hunters were present and the figure wore no orange.

The witness was pheasant hunting with a dog on elevated ground beside tall grass. The dog became agitated and barked toward a distant tree line. The witness then saw a large dark figure moving through the tall grass toward the trees and disappearing into timber, after which the witness left the area.

The witness was deer hunting from an elevated stand in late afternoon when branches began breaking as something approached. A tall, thick, long-haired biped stopped about 30 yards away for several seconds, gave a very loud howl, then rapidly retreated through thick swamp while breaking vegetation and howled again while moving away to the southwest. The frightened witness ran to the car and later said the experience ended his hunting in that area.

The witness claims to have been stopped in snow-related traffic on Highway 24. After stepping out of the vehicle, the witness noticed another stopped motorist pointing toward a hillside. The witness then observed a creature on a ridgeline about two hundred feet above the highway but could not follow it due to ice and fear.

They then heard heavy thumps retreating down the brushy ridge and briefly saw a big black object moving fast into the trees on the flat below. Both initially considered a black bear but later felt that explanation did not fit the vocal sounds and movement.

A woman driving home with her children at dusk saw a brown figure crouched on the highway median outside Gladstone. The figure stood up, crossed the highway in a couple of steps, lowered its arms to its sides, and disappeared into the woods. She described it as extremely fast and graceful and concluded it could only have been a Bigfoot.
Afternoon sighting by mother and daughter in Honey Island Swamp
Two witnesses taking a dog for exercise at the end of a swamp road noticed a large dark hairy torso-like shape beside a tree about 50-75 feet away and watched it shift for a few minutes. After driving to two other spots up the road, they heard footsteps approaching and then something running toward them through the woods, which frightened the dog. They left the area and returned later that afternoon, but the shape was gone.

The figure was bent over and then stood up as they passed, showing only its backside, with its hips roughly level with the hood of a small pickup.
