After a sheriff left, loud crashing came down a hill and something stopped behind a tree about twenty feet away, breathing loudly while two dogs stared transfixed. The witness retrieved a handgun from a car, threatened the presence, rescued the dog, drove to safety, then returned with headlights to see a large black hairy arm gripping the tree before leaving.

After finishing a night shift, the witness was driving home along a forested road near a bog and lake. A large fur-covered animal with long arms crossed the road quickly on two legs, stepped onto the guardrail, and leapt down the other side toward the lake. The group then heard movement and breaking brush toward the lake and later noticed broken vegetation and possible tracks and hair.

A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.

They followed on foot to a creek where they watched a single creature from about 50 yards away for about ten minutes as it gathered and ate leaves before walking away. The figures jumped over a fence easily, stared at the witness, then moved by an apple tree and headed toward a river. The witness reports driving north on a highway and noticing a gray, hair-covered figure across the river near a creek inlet. After pulling into a turnout, the witness watched the figure repeatedly bend from the hips while appearing to move rocks or forage in the water. The figure then stood upright and looked toward the witness before resuming its activity, and the witness left before it did.

From the bank the witness saw a large hair-covered biped in dense woods that moved away very quickly. The companion remained in the creek bed and did not see it, and both left the area along the creek as light faded.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the morning when a figure crossed the road ahead. The witness stopped and watched a tall, reddish-brown haired, human-like and ape-like figure standing about 50 feet away facing him for about five minutes. The figure then walked into the woods, and a later check found no footprints because the ground was too hard.

While hunting deer alone in the morning, the witness heard repeated sounds like logs or poles being thrown, then found a tree with bark removed, a large packed bed, a human-like track, and unfamiliar scat. After glimpsing brown fur duck behind a log, the witness heard an extremely loud low roar-like yell from behind with crashing, then heard crashing and throwing sounds staying out of sight while leaving for about 200 yards. No full animal was clearly seen.

The witness was driving home around midnight when he saw a tall figure standing by a roadside fence watching him pass. Believing it was a man needing help, he stopped, got out with a flashlight, and started walking back toward it. A loud vocalization shifting from high-pitched to low guttural frightened him, causing him to drop the flashlight and drive away. He returned the next day to recover the flashlight and found only flattened grass with no footprints or hair.

The witness and a companion had moved away from a party in a wooded clearing to talk and listen to music near portable lights. They heard something approaching down the hill behind them, and the witness shone a light on a large black hairy figure estimated at about eight feet tall. The figure retreated uphill into the woods, and the two witnesses fled past the party and drove away in the witness's truck.

While hiking alone and descending a dry trail, the witness heard a loud crashing nearby and saw a large black ape-like animal running uphill, visible from the waist up. The animal tripped, caught itself, showed its face in profile, then disappeared while a fallen tree rocked and a possible face was glimpsed. The witness photographed the area, heard and saw nothing further, found no other tracks, and later found possible scat in the direction the animal headed.

While camping alone in a tent on a hunting trip, the witness heard unidentified calls over about an hour and later was awakened by movement and shaking of the tent. The witness noticed the tent had been lifted and saw a shadow pass by, then illuminated a large dark human-like figure about 20 yards away that turned and ran into the brush. The witness kept lights on until sunrise and packed up and left the next morning.

The witness stopped at a stone quarry in the late afternoon to look for deer and saw a dark, uniformly colored biped moving very quickly through tall grass on uneven terrain. The figure held its arms at its sides and appeared to float rather than run, crossed a path beside a corn field, then entered standing corn and disappeared. The observation lasted about 15 seconds at an estimated distance of 225 yards.
