Alone on a Sunday morning, the witness noticed a tall black stump-like form between two familiar pines that he had never seen before. It took one step sideways behind a tree and remained motionless for a long time while he yelled, then was gone when he looked again. He measured the location the next weekend as about eight feet tall.

The witness and his uncle were camping and ATV riding near Great Barrington over Memorial Day weekend. After seeing eyeshine on arrival night and watching other riders flee screaming from a trail the next day, two very large hairy bipeds entered their campfire-lit camp that night. One vocalized a word remembered as Enoch, stole their cooler and fled with three more sets of eyeshine seen in the woods. A large handprint was later found on the vehicle sunroof and the cooler was found with doors torn off.

A road crew came to the guest's door angry, saying a man in a black gorilla costume had thrown rocks at them from the woods behind an old barn and run toward his house. They searched his house and saw he was cooking and not sweaty, then left the area shaken.

The witnesses were fishing when they heard a sound and saw a deer about 13 yards away. A huge bipedal ape-like figure came out quietly and seized the deer. Frightened, the witnesses ran up to the nearby railroad tracks.

The witness was alone at a riverside base camp in the afternoon when she saw two dark, slender bipedal figures walking on the opposite river trail around a bend. When she reached the riverbank moments later they had vanished with no place to hide except a steep vegetated canyon wall. A radio check confirmed the hiking group had not passed anyone, and when group members later stood at the same spot they looked much smaller and bulkier than the figures.

The witness was driving home from practice at night with his daughter when he noticed a dark area on a rocky hillside that seemed to absorb the headlights. As they passed, the daughter exclaimed about a black thing behind them and later insisted it had been standing, discernible by its profile, while the witness had thought it looked like it was sitting. The witness did not see details and on later drives at the same time of night never saw the shape again.

The witness was driving toward Edmonton with a relative passenger in late morning drizzle when a chimp-sized brown animal emerged from roadside brush. It crossed open ground and the divided highway from right to left in front of the vehicle and disappeared into brush on the far side, observed in profile running on all fours. The witness emphasized folded hands rather than bear paws, a small head with no snout, no visible ears or tail, and speed greater than a bear cub, and questioned whether it could have been a young sasquatch.

The witness was with relatives and friends on a back deck in late afternoon when the group watched a grey ape-like figure sitting on a hillside rock about 100 yards away. After a BB gun was fired toward it, the creature turned toward the group, then climbed a steep rock face hand-over-hand and walked bipedally over a ridge out of sight. No vocalizations were heard and facial features could not be distinguished at the distance.

In April 2005 the witness was looking out a doctor's office window toward a rock cliff when he saw a tall, thin brown creature. The creature walked slumped over on two legs, moving three times between the cliff edge and the treeline before disappearing. A second person in the office also saw it, but it was gone before others could be shown it.

The witness was family camping in the Big Cypress area when she noticed a tall black shape in the woods that vanished minutes later. Around 4 a.m. she awoke to a distant wailing sound with heavy breathing that approached the campsite, passed by the tents and left down a trail, waking several companions who also heard it. In the morning the group followed the direction of travel and found large wide footprints with a four-toe appearance in a sandy trail that had not been there the day before.

The witness was driving home with a companion at night when headlights revealed eye-shine ahead. As the car got closer he saw a dark, furry biped with human-like limbs standing by the road. The creature used a hand on a barbed-wire fence to jump it from a standing start and disappeared into a field. The driver stopped and looked but saw nothing further, and found only a loose fence post the next day.

The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

The witness was walking along a creek bank in the late evening when they saw a large brownish-black figure standing down the creek that they first mistook for a bear. They watched unnoticed for a few minutes, then saw it walk away on two legs and concluded it was not a bear, noting its great height and strong smell.

Two people were searching for shed antlers along deer trails when they heard a branch snap. The writer looked up and saw an ape-like figure about 45 yards away that watched him for several minutes. The figure was about 7 feet tall and brownish-black and then walked over a slight hill. The writer followed slowly and saw a second figure with the first before leaving.

The witness was driving north on Highway 101 at dusk with high beams on when a huge black figure came down a rocky cliff. The figure crossed the road in seconds with a purposeful stride without looking at the witness and entered the woods on the other side. The witness estimated it at about nine feet tall and described feeling shocked and fearful.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a car traveling north on I-77 in the early morning while his wife drove. He noticed a very tall figure walking across a steep snow-covered hillside near the road. The figure moved from right to left with long strides and did not appear to have difficulty on the steep slope. The witness was unsettled and uncertain whether he had seen a heavily dressed man or something else.

A cleaning crew couple finished work at a model-home development at night when the wife saw a tall hairy figure with a pointed head watching from behind a tree about twenty-five feet away. She watched it lean to look at her for minutes before running inside. Lights and headlights revealed nothing, and a daylight search found no misidentification candidate.
